We had a great holiday in Rhossili - the Gower Peninsula truly is a gem of an area. The cottage was well located, just a 10 minute walk from the stunning Rhossili. Whilst being comfortable and mostly as presented online, the cottage just needed a good clean and a lick of paint to tidy it up.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
The property was hard to find, but the key box worked well and the drive was adequate for up to two cars. The location was very good, a short drive from the beach and the local shop. You would not manage well without a car here. The bungalow was not clean, and we were disappointed with the shabby decor. It could do with a good spruce-up! It was otherwise comfortable and the view is lovely. There is a break in the fence, which they have plugged with a plastic chair - worked for our dog, but not very sightly or secure. The patio area was very untidy with a rusting old BBQ and scattered belongings, plus a dog-poo bag, completed with poo! Yuk!The property's facilities worked (heating, hot water, oven, etc), except the wifi which we reported on the first morning. There was apparently a problem outside the property, but we didn't see what efforts the owners had made to expedite recovery of service. It was still not functioning at the end of our week's stay, which was disappointing. There were a lot of DVDs, with a good variety, which was useful as, without the wifi, we were otherwise limited to scheduled TV. It was a rainy week, so we enjoyed searching through the films. There are also plenty of books of various genres. There was a pulley for a blind (back of the smaller double room door) which was not secure as is now required for safety. One window had no blind at all, but a tangle of pulley, which, again, was not secured. Overall, disappointing, but not a disaster!
I stayed here with my daughter and grandson. We all enjoyed the house which is in a beautiful setting with sea views from all the back windows and the large patio.
The three bedrooms were all of a good size and very comfortable. There was no en suite but the bathroom was very near and the shower room not far. (It would be good to have an internal map of the lay out to see how the rooms were configured in the written information.)
The kitchen was well equipped with some basic cooking ingredients as well as the expected cooking equipment.
The lounge was very comfortable with two large sofas and an armchair. The broadband was very slow but it would be the same for the whole area.
The bungalow was beautifully warm which had been a concern of mine beforehand.
We would definitely stay there again.
