The Hollies is situated in the beautiful area of Horton in the Gower Peninsular
Horton is situated on the Gower Peninsular which is a designated area of natural beauty.
The house has 2 self contained apartments (top and middle floors) . The apartments consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fitted kitchen with open-plan lounge area and a large balcony. The apartments sleeps up to six people and comprises of 1 double bedroom with king size bed, 1 double bedroom with 2 single beds and 1 single bedroom with a single bed. There is a pull out bed to accommodate the sixth person. All bedrooms have bedside tables, wardrobes and chest of drawers.
The apartments have a fully fitted kitchen including cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave together with all necessary utensils. There is one bathroom and a separate shower room which are both fully functional with all required facilities. The properties have a large walk out balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the sea views. The property is ideally suited for families with young children with a cot and highchair being provided. The property is a pet friendly accommodation and has ample storage for guests with sporting equipment.
The apartments have the benefit of panoramic views over the horseshoe bays of Horton and Port Eynon which can be enjoyed fully via the large balcony area.
All the grounds are made fully available to all guests with large table and chairs on a patio area and is a safe playing area for children.
The self-catering apartments are ideal for the boating, surfing, fishing and walking enthusiast. It has the added advantage of providing an area for parking boats and trailers.
The properties are equipped with WIFI.
There is a south-facing balcony which is accessed from the single bedroom. The balcony is wide enough for patio furniture to sit and enjoy the wonderful views.
The large garden which is made available to all guests (approximately half an acre) is a safe and ideal area for children to play. There is ample room for parking of cars and boats and trailers along with a private access lane to the beach of Horton and Port Eynon.
The Gower holds wooded glens with brooks and streams, woods and copses of Oak Sycamore and Ash trees. There are old Churches, fortified towers and castles which are mementos of the conquest by the Normans over 900 years ago. Smugglers Caves and tales of pirates all form part of the magic of the Gower.
The Hollies has considerable history attached to it. During the First World War it was commissioned as a rehabilitation home for injured soldiers on the battle front. During the 50's The Hollies was host to Don Bradman and his Australian Cricket Touring Team, who played villagers on the lawn. The Hollies is situated in the village of Horton which is on the tip of the Gower Peninsular which is 20 miles long by 5 miles wide.
