WE ARE BACK ON VRBO! After a break to just enjoy our home and after discovering that although it showed my house active on VRBO, it was not being shown as available, we are back in business.

Escape to your happy place at this quintessential beach cottage. Built in 1923, this gem was recently completely renovated with high end touches while still maintaining its old world charm. This is our second home and not just some corporate vacation rental property. We pride ourselves in making this feel llike a second home to our guests as well. All new luxury linens, bedding and towels. Master bedroom has a queen bed with private master bath equipped with a shower and luxurious claw foot soaker tub. Second bedroom has 2 twin beds. The main living area and master bedroom both have brand new 40 inch 4K smart tvs. The separate den has a brand new queen top of the line Lazyboy sleeper sofa as well as a 60 inch plasma smart tv with blue ray. There is a door to the den so this area is like a 3rd bedroom. House has WiFi and AT&T Uverse with movie channels and plenty of sports stations. The bright, well equipped kitchen will meet all your cooking needs. For those who prefer to spend their time outside, this house has it all. Escape to the screened in porch to read, take a nap or watch TV on the large plasma smart TV. The private fenced back yard has a bar area and grill for your cookout, or stroll over to the cushioned Adirondack chairs and large table and umbrella on the side private deck equipped with a giant fan for some socializing. Twinkle lights streak across the back yard to set the mood. Laundry room has washer and dryer.

If you ever decide to leave the house, the beach access is a mere 2/10ths of a mile away, and the Pier and Village (shopping and restaurants) is a short walk or bike ride.

Great cottage in a great neighborhood

A charming and comfortable small beach house with a great screened porch where we spent most of our time when we were not walking around town or at the beach just a sort walk away.

A nice getaway retreat

My mom and I celebrated our milestone birthdays by taking a trip to St. Simons Island, GA, to relax, unwind from our busy lives, and take in the sites. Why St. Simons? Well, when we booked it a year or so ago, we were in the middle of Covid and couldn't go anywhere else outside the U.S. without selling our souls so we picked somewhere we had never been. It was incredibly beautiful, peaceful but oh so humid, which we expected. The house is a short 20 minute drive from Brunswick airport and we found it with ease after arriving on the island late. While unpacking the car when we arrived, I heard my mom yell out from inside the house. Upon turning on the light in the kitchen, roaches were seen scattering about. Let me first say that the house is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated so we knew this was a fluke but still....we were unnerved and a bit worried about the house we chose for the week. I immediately messaged the owner who got back to me just as soon as I sent the message, and said she had never had a complaint like mine before but suspected the infestation was from the recent heavy rains. I agreed. The owner had the kitchen sprayed the very next day. In the meantime, we found roach spray under the sink and sprayed down the entire kitchen, scooped up the dead bugs and tossed them in the trash. We wiped down the kitchen and cleaned up. After that, we never saw another bug again. The only other issue we had was not being able to utilize the backyard the last two days of our trip due to flooding. One night of heavy rains caused the backyard to flood (ankle deep) and standing water remained for two days as it didn't appear to have anywhere to go. I felt bad about notifying the owner again because I don't like to complaint, however, bugs and standing water are legitimate complaint and if it were my house I was renting, I'd want to know. I am not unfamiliar with rain as we endure monsoons every summer from June to September and standing water can cause a ton of damage to a home. Other than that, the house is perfectly comfortable. It has A/C and all the comforts of home. The furnishings are lovely and you can tell a lot of thought went in to the detailing of the house. Thank you to the owners! We did enjoy our stay.

Great cosy house

The house was great for our family. Less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and close enough to downtown. Very well appointed house with every appliance you can think off. Fenced of yard is great for small children and the separate den / TV room as well.

We have been married for 16 years and have 3 children. Sandy grew up in the South while Gib is a midwestern boy. We live in Atlanta year round but escape to St Simons and our new home every chance we get.

Why they chose this property

Sandy fell in love with St. Simons while visiting with a friend who owns a vacation home here. The beach, live oaks with dripping Spanish moss, boating, biking, shopping and great restaurants coupled with the laid back pace of this amazing island made us realize we must get a place here. We saw this house on Zillow and fell in love immediately. We had to have it and knew it would be snatched up so we actually bought it sight unseen. When we got here and saw it in person, we knew we had made the right decision. And thus the name Seas the Day was born. This house is what we had always dreamed of when we would think about owning a beach house. We never thought we would get so lucky to have found it.

What makes this property unique

The charm of this 1923 Cottage is in every aspect of the house and the property. It makes you happy just to be in it. With all of the high end touches throughout, you get the benefits of both charm and comfort. The house’s landscaping makes you feel like you are in your own personal oasis. The house sits on a quiet street with the most beautiful big oak trees. Our neighbors are awesome and live there year round. We love how incredibly close we are to the beach. The walk to the beach is a piece of cake (just 3 short blocks or 2/10th of a mile) and the walk or bike to the Village is only 7/10 of a mile. The walk to East Beach is also a very short distance.
