This stately property, adjacent to the owner’s home but where privacy is assured, is set within its own extensive enclosed gardens which are fabulous at any time of year. Ideal for larger groups wishing to explore this beautiful area, there’s plenty to discover including family theme parks such as The BIG Sheep (7.5 miles) and The Milky Way (3.5 miles). Clovelly, a unique cliff-side fishing village that is privately owned and has remained unchanged for many years, is well worth the 5-mile trip. The coastal village of Westward Ho! and town of Bideford (both 9 miles) offer a wider range of amenities, and Bude (18 miles) offers a splash pool and ten pin bowling centre, tennis courts and pretty canal. Keen walkers and cyclists can enjoy traffic free pathways on the Tarka Trail, which runs north to south throughout Devon.
Stepping into the property and into the entrance hallway, you find the large lounge ahead of you with wood burner, beams, Smart TV, CD and DVD player, ample comfy seating for everyone including a double sofa bed and a selection of books and games. Back through the hall leads to the large kitchen/diner, fully equipped with everything you need to cater for a large group, with long dining table - ideal for a special birthday or anniversary. For everyday catering there is every convenience: an electric range oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. The kitchen leads out to a rear sun porch which is ideal for kicking off walking boots, wellies and great for drying swimwear and wetsuits. There is also a separate WC here. Heading upstairs via the impressive staircase with a feature light fitting, you’ll find seven bedrooms: one double, one double with an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC; a further room with a four-poster double and a single sofa bed; a double room with additional single bed; a double with a set of bunks; and two twin rooms. There’s a shower room with shower and WC, and two steps lead to the family bathroom with bath, shower attachment and WC. A shower room with sink (no WC) completes the accommodation.
Outside is a large sweeping driveway leading to an extensive lawn and children’s play area, BBQ and picnic benches as well as ample space for ball games, sitting out and relaxing. Ample off-road parking for 7/8 cars.
