3 Bed in Margam (IVYMP)

Located on the edge of the peaceful parkland, this charming stone cottage is surrounded by over a thousand acres of stunning grounds for you to explore. Situated opposite Margam Abbey at the end of a no-through road, take the lead through the private gate into Margam Park where you can sniff out the best route through the park even when the grounds are closed to the public. With three bedrooms, this is a unique destination for families, including four-legged members to enjoy a relaxing break exploring this part of South Wales.



Tails will be wagging as you enter your lovely holiday home where neutral tones and wooden accents create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Prepare tasty meals in the well-equipped kitchen where you can plan your day’s adventures at the breakfast table. Dine in style in the sunroom before heading through to the cosy lounge to relax on the sofa in front of the wood burner with your pup at your feet. There’s a handy utility area for cleaning muddy paws and shoes after country walks. Upstairs you will find three comfortable bedrooms, one king-size, one twin and a pretty single room. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. Stepping outside, light the BBQ on your private patio for an al fresco meal while your dog sniffs out their favourite spot in the walled garden. A gate leads through the wall allowing access to the park at any time.



Margam Country Park has over a thousand acres of grounds and gardens for you to explore with waymarked trails through formal gardens and farmland, a historic Victorian castle and a 17th-century orangery. Enjoy bounds along the beach at Newton Bay, Porthcawl (8.5 miles) or a stroll along the sand dunes at Merthyr Mawr (10 miles) where dogs are allowed all year round. Wales’ capital city, Cardiff (30 miles) is within easy reach where you can browse the designer shops, walk through the beautiful Bute Park or enjoy lunch in one of the cafes of Cardiff Bay.
