The Space:

Life at Moonlit Olives happens as much outside as in. The large garden wraps around the property with olive trees, generous seating, and open space to stretch out, or fit in a morning workout, all with the green hills of Vatos as a backdrop.

Inside, the air conditioned living room opens onto the balcony and gathers everyone comfortably after a day on the coast. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need during your stay, while the dining table brings the whole group together.

Three air conditioned bedrooms, each with a queen bed, sleep up to six guests. One is en suite, and another opens onto its own balcony. Both bathrooms have showers, with hot water supplied by a solar boiler. A washing machine and dryer mean you can pack light and stay longer, and an iron, a hair dryer take care of the practical side of your stay.

Moonlit Olives sits on the green western side of central Corfu, on the hillside between Vatos and the sea, where olive groves roll down toward some of the island's most celebrated sandy beaches and the Ropa Valley opens up just inland. It suits guests who want beaches close and quiet nights. Vatos lies around 1 km away, a traditional village with tavernas, a bar, and a conveniently located mini market for everyday needs.

Myrtiotissa, around 2 km away, is the closest beach, a sheltered stretch of fine sand beneath steep green cliffs with famously clear water and a whitewashed monastery on the lane above. Glyfada, around 3 km away, is one of Corfu's best known beaches, a long sweep of golden sand with sunbeds, water sports, and shallow water for families. Ermones, around 3 km away, is a pebble and sand cove framed by wooded slopes and linked by legend to Odysseus, while Agios Gordios, around 10 km away, is a broad sandy bay set against dramatic cliffs and offshore rock formations.

Getting Around:

Corfu International Airport lies around 14 km away, roughly half an hour by car along the road that crosses the island. The port of Corfu, around 15 km away, connects the island with Igoumenitsa on the mainland, with Paxos, and with seasonal ferry routes to Italy. The local bus network links the area with Corfu Town and the west coast beaches, with a stop in Vatos village around 1 km from the house. A car lets you make the most of Corfu's west coast, from a different beach every morning to sunset drives toward Paleokastritsa, and private parking on the premises means it always has a place waiting.



Other Things to Note:

On clear nights the moon really does silver the olive trees here, and the west coast's finest sand is only minutes away when morning comes.
