Why drive to the Smokies when nestled in the heart of 66 acres of wooded wonder, this secluded location has all the comforts of home within minutes of a variety of recreational activities? Cabin sleeps 3 comfortably (we suggest a maximum of 3 adults) with a queen master bedroom and a futon. Full kitchen stocked with dishes and cookware, electric fireplace, washer/dryer, TV/DVD, central heat & air, etc. Outdoor features stocked lake, fire pit, covered picnic area, hot tub, gas grill, rope hammock, walking trails and more.

This was our second time here, and it was great all over again. Perfect privacy and quiet with a cozy hot tub and tons of charm. We rode bikes on the Tunnel Hill Trail and kayaked the Cache Bayou this trip. The house was a wonderful home base and great weekend getaway.

As amazing as everything was one of the best parts was we didn't have cell service the entire 3 days and that was awesome :-) it was really nice to get away from the world for a while and enjoy such a beautiful perfectly appointed cabin nestled in nature the pictures and description really don't accurately describe how wonderful this place is thank you so much and we look forward to coming back again in the future.

The cabin is very cute and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with enough pots and pans that we didn't need to bring our own. We also loved enjoying the fire and hot tub. The hosts were very helpful when we ran into a small issue. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking for a romantic get away close enough to some fun hikes in Shawnee.

This property is our dream come true. It is the perfect getaway for relaxing, recharging, and enjoying the best nature has to offer. It's been such an amazing place for us, we wanted to give others an opportunity to enjoy it.

What makes this property unique

The entrance to the property is a beautiful path through the center of the woods, which opens up into a breathtaking meadow in the back. It's a picture-perfect setting for the cabin, overlooking the lake for a gorgeous sunset. It's also very close to many attractions, including wineries, Tunnel Hill Bike Trail, Ohio River, Mermet Springs Scuba Diving, and a other state nature areas like Mermet Lake. There is much to do nearby or you can bring your fishing pole and fish the lake for a nice catfish cook-it-up-on-the-grill dinner. If you prefer you can also sit by the fire or relax in the hot tub under the stars for the rest of the night. Don't forget to watch for the amazing wildlife. There is something for everyone here.
