Remodeled Prospector Condo, Washer/Dryer, Fireplace, Kitchen, on Free Bus Route!
Recently remodeled studio unit in Prospector with both a queen bed and very comfy full size Pier One sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress. It features a dining table that seats 4, off-street parking for one vehicle, electric fireplace, a 40" HDTV with DirecTV, Premium channels, a DVD, and phone casting capabilities. Our covered deck has a nice view of green space...not a parking lot...lol! The new kitchen features a clothes washer/dryer combination unit, bar height fridge, 4 burner cooktop, full size microwave, K-cup type coffee maker with a selection of free coffees, tea, and even hot chocolate! There's also and an Oster Countertop Convection Oven large enough for a 12" pizza, pop-up toaster, blender, etc., everything you need on an extended vacation, even free Wi-Wi! We even stock some canned foods, soups, and dry goods for purchase, in case you arrive late and are hungry, or want a midnight snack!
For skiers, you have a ski rack and plenty of room to store your gear. And The Prospector complex has a ski rental shop on-site, swimming pool (outdoor, summer season only), and year-round outdoor hot tub. The Prospector is located right on the free Park City Bus Route, so you can catch a lift to Park City's Main Street, ski areas, and lots of entertainment, dining and shopping options just minutes away. One minute walk to local gym and spa, that offers day and short term memberships. A variety of restaurants and bars are conveniently located within walking distance of Prospector Square Conference Center, plus several restaurant/food delivery options.
We assume 1 or 2 guests will only use the queen bed, if this is not the case, please contact us. If 3 or 4 guests are booked, we will automatically provide additional bedding and pillows for the sleeper sofa. We charge a small fee for more than 2 guests, just to cover the occupancy and hotel taxes assessed by Park City and Summit County, and the additional laundry fees associated with the extra bedding.
Undeclared guests will be noted by the on-site security cameras, and the HOA will report violators to the authorities. There are fines imposed for fraudulently avoiding the city and county hotel and occupancy taxes. Please, our additional guest rates are very, very low, and only cover these taxes and laundry costs for extra guests. We strongly recommend you accurately report all guests to avoid fines and the need to return to the area to face legal issues.
NOTE: We do not offer seasonal or long term rentals during the ski season, just the nightly and weekly short term rentals, at the rates published on VRBO. Thank you for understanding. Also: Last minute bookings (made the day before, or the day of your check-in) may require a later check-in time, up to 7pm. This helps to insure the housekeeping staff has time to properly service the room with enhanced cleaning protocols.
Finally, the Prospector HOA does NOT allow dogs on their premises, unless they are service animals, as set forth in ADA regulations. If your canine meets this requirement, please contact us before booking.
Cats are allowed, but incur additional cleaning fees due to the dander and allergens they spread...contact us for details. (I'm an animal lover, an AKC registered breeder of English Springer Spaniels, and have had dogs and cats my whole life. We don't make the rules...sorry!)

This is a great unit for rent …. Very clean …very easy check in and check out ….extremely well stocked if you need or forgot anything…I will be returning if this is available…absolutely a five star rental… however it may be small if coming with 4 people, but for 1-2 people, it’s perfect
Barry was a great host. Answered texts promptly. Was flexible with special requests. Room was clean and kitchen was stocked with food options and supplies.
An ideal host, Barry stocked his tastefully-decorated condo with plenty of skier-friendly toiletries and food prep necessities. In the beautiful Prospector area of Park City, Barry’s VRBO not only sits on a convenient bus route to Deer Valley resort, but has all you need to feel cozy after a fun-filled, energetic day of skiing. Barry’s prompt communication as our host provided me with all necessary details prior to our trip and many “extras” once we arrived, such as “Who can I see in town for an unexpected broken, orthodontic, permanent retainer!” He even provided a source where we could borrow sleds for end of day fun! I will definitely return to this VRBO.
An older property with thin ceiling, heard neighbors all night. Otherwise, a nice place to explore Park City area. Free transportation and a great walking path 50 yards from property. Owner went above and beyond to make place feel homey. Provided everything we needed and lots more. Easy check-in, good communication and great parking.

I'm sorry to hear neighbors weren't as quiet as you would have liked. Had you let me know they didn't follow "quiet hours" policy during your stay, I could have had security enforce the rules. This was the first I've heard of it.
Very nice small condo in Park City. This place is right on a hike/bike trail that takes you into downtown. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.
We had another fantastic stay and felt like home. Condo is very clean and extremely well equipped. Love that there is no need for a car with the bus stop right in front and buses going every few minutes. Owner is very responsive and flexible. Highly recommend!
My brother and I had a wonderful stay here. It was very comfortable and it was exactly as advertised. We skied at Deer Valley and having the bus stop right there made getting to the mountain very easy, as well as going downtown (Main Street) for dinner.
Close to the Main lodge and the bus stop. You have parking space. Also in the appartment, the owners provided us everything we could posible need. Highly recommended, excellent price benefit ratio.
Condo was conveniently located near a bus stop, so it was easy to get to Main St. and the village. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance, too! The condo itself was great for our 3 night stay and had everything we needed. The owners were very thoughtful when stocking the condo and included a stocked medicine cabinet, mini fridge and pantry in case you got in late and needed a snack.
The place is what is described in VBRO. I stayed there for the whole week, and my wife stayed with me for a night and my brother for a different night. I was surprised that the sofa bed was locked. It's the first time I've experienced this anywhere, and it's strange to do this. The hallway smell was a bit uncomfortable - besides two items, the rest was great, clean, location and positive experience around Park City
The property is correctly listed as Studio apartment. loaded with everything you need and more. Barry was very accommodating and to respond with assistance.

About the host
Hosted by Barry Brown
We're Kandilyn and Barry, and we purchased this condo in September, 2017, and remodeled it for ski season guests. Barry works for the State of Utah as a Director of Information Technology, while Kandi works for Applegate Home Care and Hospice in Park City. This is our "ski condo", we use it ourselves, and so does our family.
Why they chose this property
We really fell in love with this condo. So many Prospector Square units face a parking lot, but this one looks out on green common space. And it's adjacent to not only the bus stop, but the local walking/biking trail, (union Pacific Rail Trail), and it even has a little babbling brook (Silver Creek) running by! We stay here ourselves, and let relatives stay here when they visit from out of the area. We even plan to keep it when we retire and move away! (Gotta have a place to stay when we come back to visit the kiddos and grand kids!)
What makes this property unique
Great location, right on the free bus route that'll take you to the ski area or downtown. The walking, jogging and biking path runs right by it, and you can walk to several stores and restaurants. It's literally 3 turns to get to the condo from the Salt Lake International airport! (Nice if you're somewhat "directionally challenged").
