The house is furnished with every comfort, ideal for families or for a stay with friends. Living room with firewood (wood on request), equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms (for 6 p. including a mezzanine bedroom, mattress protection, duvet, pillows and blankets available), bathroom, satellite TV (French channels), CD-player, wifi, unlimited barbecue, large outdoor table and lounge. The property was perfect for a family of five (2 adults and 3 teenagers), with plenty of space and good amenities.Lots to do in the local area - beach activities, biking, mini golf, lido, World War 1 and 11 bunkers, and easy to get to places a bit further away eg Ghent and Ieper (Ypres) c. 1hr away.Hosts were very friendly and easily contactable and offered lots of ideas for things to do.

We stayed as a family with a medium/largish dog. The hostess was very welcoming and helpful, pointing out some of the best walking routes and recommending some local shops for pastries, meat and fish. It’s a rustic cottage with everything we needed, clean and well presented. It stayed cool despite the warm May weather and would easily sleep 6. The garden was brilliant for the dog and sitting out for dinners. Two different types of coffee machine were available (we went for the Nescafe pods) in the well equipped kitchen and we were able to buy all our groceries in a nearby Carrefour. There are vets available locally for tapeworm treatments needed to travel to the UK and they were able to help in English. Very smooth first trip to Europe by car for us, thanks to our lovely hostess.

Nice littel house with a big garden

We have a nice time with the family. So many ways in the nature to walk with our dog. Near the beach. The beach was very clean. Only the weather was very changeable.

Lovely despite the weather

The cottage is cozy, comfortable and functional. We weren't expecting to have to spend as much time inside, but we had a wonderful time. The owners brought us candles since the wind was too intense to have a fire in the fireplace, and there were plenty of pots, pans, dishes and glasses for us to cook up a feast. We felt at home. So much so that we plan on coming back during the summer, so that we can enjoy the barbecue and all the outdoor furniture and games available. It is the perfect place if you're looking for hiking and bicycle trails that will bring you to the dunes, the beach and lovely woods and farms.

Nous avons passé deux semaines très agréables et ensoleillées dans la maison. Grâce au grand jardin nous étions très libres. La maison est très calme, tout fonctionne bien, le contact avec les propriétaires était simple et chaleureux. Nous ne savions pas que la mezzanine était ouverte ce qui aurait pu être compliqué si nous avions été plus nombreux. Somme toute c’est une belle et petite maison où nous étions très heureux cet été !

Sehr zufrieden...

...mit dem Ferienhaus ... der Lage des Hauses und der Vermieterin. Wir konnten in ruhiger Umgebung die Ferietage genießen und das Land und die Küste erkunden. Im Haus war alles vorhanden und die Vermieterin sehr freundlich und mit vielen wichtigen Tipps für die Umgebung.

Genieten aan zee

We genoten van de rust in de grote tuin van het knusse vakantiehuisje, gelegen in een rusting straatje. Vlotte communicatie en nuttige tips meegekregen van eigenaar! Huisje was goed uitgerust met tal van materiaal en met het mooie weer hebben we de bbq kunnen gebruiken, top!

Superbe séjour

Hébergement très fonctionnel, rien ne manque, petite maison entourée de verdure, le cadre est idéal et reposant . La tranquillité et les belles balades étaient au rendez-vous ! Nous garderons de très bons souvenirs de notre séjour.

Schönes Häuschen für Eltern mit großen und kleinen Kindern

Das Häuschen haben wir in einem sauberen und ordentlichen Zustand vorgefunden 👍. Alles was man als Selbstversorger braucht, ist da. Wir wurden von der Vermieterin sehr nett und freundlich empfangen. Wir sind mit 2 Pärchen plus Kind plus Hund gefahren. Mein Mann und ich haben oben geschlafen. Der Auf und Abstieg ist ein Erlebnis 😄 wenn's geht nüchtern bleiben 😉. Auch sollte man als große Person auf den Kopf aufpassen...das rummst ordentlich 🙈. Was wir sehr vermisst haben, ist Stauraum. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und ein Kind. Oben gab es gar keinen Stauraum und unten nur einen kleinen Schrank und eine kleine Kommode. Wir oben haben also alles im Koffer gelassen. Der Tisch in der Küche ist ziemlich klein für so viele Leute. Wir mussten unseren kleinen Klapptisch dazu stellen, damit wir Platz für den Aufschnitt hatten. Wir waren mit unserem Hund da. Der musste an der Schleppleine bleiben, da das Grundstück nicht geschlossen ist und der Nachbarshund auch gerne Mal vorbei schaute. Das Grundstück an sich bräuchte mehr Pflege. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und lädt zum spazieren gehen ein. Den Weg zum Strand sind wir nur mit dem Auto gefahren. Der Weg ist zu weit, um alles dorthin zu schleppen. Die Strände sind toll 👍. Grade auch der Hundestrand ist sehr tief und breit. Und super sauber. Vor allem hat man dort auch viel Platz, da dort wegen der Hunde kaum einer liegen möchte.

Heerlijke rust met het strand om de hoek.

Enorm vriendelijke ontvangst en vervolgens een heerlijk huisje in alle rust. Huisje is knus, maar van alle gemakken voorzien en met een heerlijke tuin voor de hond. Zon tot laat in de avond en met een heerlijke wandeling ben je voor je het weet op het strand. We komen zeker terug!

Ein einziger Horror

Furchtbar! Ein Alptraum! Wir sind sofort wieder nach Hause gefahren. Es war furchtbar, kein Urlaub möglich!!! Durchgelegene Matratzen in den Betten, ein Garten für Hunde ohne Zaun zur Straße! Ein Esstisch, an dem sich Menschen über 1.70m nicht bequem hinsetzen konnten. Es gab keine Garderobe, um Jacken aufzuhängen. Alles in allem: Horror - eine Ansammlung von Sperrmüll!!! Nie wieder!!!

Rundum gelungene Erholungswoche

Mit 2 Hunden habe ich eine wunderschöne Woche in diesem bezaubernden Häuschen verbracht. Liebevoll und herzlich wurden wir von der Vermieterin begrüßt und auch während des Aufenthaltes unterstützt. Sowohl Wander-, Park- und Einkaufstipps, als auch mal Zeit für einen Schwatz hatte sie für uns. Im Haus, besonders in der Küche, war alles vorhanden, was man so zwischendurch braucht. Ich werde Haus und Vermieterin mit Freude meinen Freunden weiterempfehlen.
