Feels like home!

We loved Lorena’s place! Much larger than the photos. Televisions in both bedrooms and living room. Close to beach, many restaurants and stores. Great kitchen supplies and ice machine continuously making ice was a bonus! Lorena was excellent at communicating with any questions we had. Highly recommend to stay here!

OK for a short stay

Lorena was very helpful and eager to help when ever there an issue. Our only issues were the beds TERRIBLE, especially in the main room with dirty old pillows. Nice kitchen but old cheap pots and pans only few of them, plastic glasses etc. No suitable for longer stays more than a week.

Clean, comfortable and attractive

We enjoyed our stay in this bright, attractive apartment. My husband and I have rented several other apartments in this same neighborhood over the years and this was certainly the cleanest and best maintained. We enjoyed the accessible location - close to the beach, restaurants, public transportation and the peaceful, quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped to cook breakfast and basic meals when we caught fish and didn’t want to eat out. Beds were comfortable and the black out shades worked well. A very nice place to stay. The only fault we have with this neighborhood is its proximity to the nightclubs on the main road . If you are a light sleeper and not into the nightlife, earplugs may be helpful. However, that is true for every place we have stayed in or near the Golden Zone. I

WARNING. WE WERE ROBBED AT THIS LOCATION

My friend and I ( two seniors) had booked for a month as my friends husband had just passed away and she needed an emotional uplift. Two weeks into our stay, we were robbed. They broke into the window and went through all our things and broke into the safe and stole all our money. The camera outside did not capture them climbing up the wall to disable the camera according to the owner. We believe the camera never worked to begin with and it was just a deterrent. The owner could not provide footage for us to give to police. The police informed us it was an inside job as the keys for the building were just changed two weeks prior. When we inquired about the person whom cleans the outer perimeter a few times per week, the owner did not know anything about this person. We contact VRBO and they informed us that the owner could give us a full refund given the circumstances. We now have not only been violated and have no money. We need to pay for our new flights home and stay in a hotel for 4 nights as it was carnival time in Mazatlán and we could not get a flight out. The owner did pay for the first night at the hotel and call the police for us. When requesting a full refund to help cover all our losses, the owner turned the situation around like they were the ones victimized as they now will have to pay for bars on the windows and door and could not give us a full refund.

First we just want you to know how truly deeply sorry we feel for the distressing experience our guests had. Obviously this is the absolute last thing we would want for anyone staying in our property. My wife and I along with our children have lived just two blocks away for over 20 years without any issues. Obviously we were shocked and saddened by this incident that could have occurred in our property that we pride ourselves on making the best, comfortable and believe to be perfectly safe. Upon learning about the break-in, we immediately contacted the police and assisted with translation for our guests. We also arranged and paid for their stay at a 4-star hotel to provide some comfort during the surprising event. Additionally, we modified the reservation and refunded the last 14 nights of their stay. There was no damage to the door, but a clear handprint on the window indicated that it might have been opened because it was not fully locked. While we are not placing blame on anyone, it seems that an open window could have contributed to why this happened. This property has been listed on multiple platforms and has hosted over 200 stays without any issues until now. Since this incident, we have installed extra security measures, including bars on the windows, to ensure the safety of our guests it is our property but also our business, our neighborhood and safety is the first priority of our guests and us. We have tried to reach out multiple times to resolve this unfortunate situation and are truly disappointed for what happened and any distress caused.

Winter escape

Lorena condo is exactly as described and pictured. A lovely kitchen with everything you would need to cook your own meals. The balcony was nice and enjoyed the company of long stay Canadians next to us. If wasn't due to the close proximity of nightclubs we would have given this a 5 out of 5.

First time in Mazatlan

The location was excellent and close to the beach and various restaurants and bars. Of course that has its drawbacks for some latenight music to keep one awake at times. The appartment was comfortable for the most part but we dont like watching TV in the bedroom and there is no TV in the living room. Golf in the area is the most affordable in Mexico and transportation by pulmonia or bus is a lot of fun. Will definitely return to Mazatlan.

Wonderful accommodations

This condo has it all. Big beautiful brand new third floor two bedroom. We enjoyed not only the nice home but were pleasantly surprised with the charm of the neighborhood. Lorena is super chill and getting in and out was a breeze. Her place is a very good deal. Nice beds, tons of pillows, fully functional kitchen, useful laundry, and air conditioning. We slept until noon. We plan to return.

From the very first minute we arrived, we found Lorena and her husband to be wonderful hosts. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the apartment, the location and the fact that it had EVERYTHING we needed. I was even able to do laundry! We also appreciated the bottle of shampoo and body wash that was provided in each of the two bathrooms - it was un unexpected and delightful surprise. We highly recommend it and look forward to staying here upon our return to Mazatlan!! Thank you, Lorena 😀
