Renovated Mid-Century Modern House

Goodview Haven is Winona’s newest and most flexible venue for small group retreats. Goodview Haven is a renovated retreat house in Goodview, just 3 miles from downtown Winona.
The home can be rented overnight or for daytime events. The Haven sleeps 15 in twin and double beds, and features a Great Room, large outdoor space and a complete technology setup for easy hookups and really high speed internet. Rent the house for your next business retreat or working getaway, or grab the girlfriends for a weekend spent scrap booking or quilting (be sure to check out our Amenities page for all the unique features of the home that cater to technology and crafting needs!). Our fully outfitted kitchen allows guests to make their own food or work with a caterer to feed a crowd.

For daytime gatherings, we can accommodate up to 60 guests in our versatile indoor gathering spaces and spacious outdoor patio on a 1-acre wooded lot.

Goodview Haven is a very flexible venue. Please contact us with any questions regarding your stay and/or event. It's hard to show the exact availability with the online calendar. Please contact us even if it looks like we are booked at the time you are interested in. We may be able to accommodate you!

For your security, you will be provided with a unique entry code. This works only during your rental period. Previous and future guests will not be able to enter during your rental.

We had a great stay in Goodview! Everything we needed for an overnight retreat was there, including cooking tools for a meal for 10 people. The extras were great too... gift bags on the bed, outdoor space and comfortable seating for everyone.

Amazing place for groups and larger families

This space was amazing for our group size and was a great staging area for our activities in Winona. There was plenty of space for our group to spread out, but reconvene as a large group at the end of our daily activities. A great space to cook and share time together.

Excellent Meeting Space

This was perfect for a work centered getaway, my insurance agency meet here for a meeting and retreat. Was perfect and roomy, we were not falling over each other and the great room was exactly what we needed to meet, accomplish some work, and relax and have fun!

What an awesome house! We spent 4 days at the property and couldn't be happier. We had a group of 10 women. There were beds for everyone and the 3 bathrooms made it easy for us to get ready each day. The house was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. We were also amazed by the back yard. It was beautiful and we spent a lot of time enjoying it. The owners of Goodview Haven, Erik and Jodi Brom both grew up in Goodview. Goodview Haven was Erik's childhood home, and Jodi grew up just a mile away. We live just a few blocks away on another piece of the original farm on which Goodview Haven is located. We are excited to make Goodview Haven available for your enjoyment.

Why they chose this property

Designed and built by Erik's parents from 1946 through 1957, it is in the Frank LLoyd Wright Usonian style. We remodeled the house and decorated the house staying with the mid-century style. The surrounding woods have the oldest trees in Goodview which provide a home for many kinds of birds.

What makes this property unique

Although it is located in town, on a busy street, it is on nearly an acre of wooded land. Both the interior and the back yard are very peaceful. It is a very flexible space perfect for a variety of events.
