The Juniper Moon House is a one bedroom, one bath adobe casita, nestled amidst Juniper trees and prickly pear cacti. Located on the southwest end of town, it offers quieter surroundings while still being in close proximity to Marfa favorites.
The casita was built in 1950 and is surrounded on the front and sides with enormous Juniper trees making the home feel like a shady oasis.
The minimalist décor offers guests a respite from the cluttered bustle of city life. The house is dotted with pottery, art, furniture and textile from local Marfa artisans. Amenities like our pourover coffee maker and record player encourage relaxation and a slower pace of life. Our fully equipped kitchen offers the option to cook your own meals on site, or just use the oven to heat up your leftover Pizza Foundation slices.
The bedroom has one queen sized bed, outfitted with Parachute bedding and extra soft sateen sheets. The couch can be made up as an extra bed, if desired. There are extra sheets and pillows located in the closet. Because we encourage as unplugged of a time as possible, we do not have a television on site. But games and books can be found in the bedroom armoire for old fashioned fun and connection.
The bathroom includes a bathtub and shower, and a super fun pink floor. Cozy up in our signature El Cosmico robes, that will make you never want the vacation to end.
Sip coffee or a glass of wine on the front or back porch, both feature a set of chairs for lounging or stargazing. Venture deeper into the fully fenced backyard to roast marshmallows and hot dogs over our fire pit. Tree stump seats circle the pit making it a fun spot to gather with friends and family
Once you’ve had your fill of time at the house, take a spin on our duo of bicycles for a day of exploring the town!

We loved staying at the cute casita in Marfa. It was immaculately clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the backyard space. The hammock and egg chair were great places to sit, talk, and sip our drinks of choice. Quiet. A/C worked great. Amazing sunset views from the front yard. I'd stay here again!
I want to live at this place! I loved the hammock and everything about the backyard...really helped me relax quickly and settle into vacay mode - it was also perfect for viewing the amazing stars. I also enjoyed bicycle rides around town, french press coffee in the morning, comfy bed and nice linens, record player with relaxing music, etc. The place was also very close to the grocery store and amazing restaurants. Total perfection. I will be staying there again - if it is available on my next trip.

I have a beautiful wife who is an amazing photographer, I grew up on a farm feeding chickens and cows, the Beatles are the best, I have an overweight cat named Lennon, a puppy named Juniper, and I love falling asleep in planes and waking up in different countries. Anything else, just ask :).
