What a wonderful few days staying right by GNP. Kitchen was stocked, beds were comfortable, but most importantly, the views were amazing! Would definitely recommend!
My husband and I stayed at the Glacier Chalet with our 17 & 19 year old daughters and it was absolute perfection!! We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the rafters float by and just enjoyed the peaceful sound of solitude.
The furniture is so comfortable, you sink right into the leather couches and all the beds were super comfy. Top quality towels and sheets were appropriated as was the shampoos and soaps left for visitors.
The location is perfect for access to GNP and all the local activities. We booked a fly fishing lesson and trip with Glacier Raft Co. and a scenic river float perfect for those who want to try something but in a safe easy way!
This was by far our best trip ever!
Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful home. The accommodations were perfect. The beds were very comfortable and there was even a pack n play for our grand baby. The guys tried their hand at fly fishing. The view from the porch is incredible! It was about a 30 minute drive to Glacier National Park, but we did have to deal with the road construction on the west side of the park which made it slower to get to our destinations inside the park. We got groceries from the market in Columbia Falls. The home is stocked with everything you need to cook meals there. Whitefish is also a 30 minute drive and worth visiting if you like to shop. Thanks to our host, Steve, for a wonderful stay,
Jill B.

An awesome place in glorious big sky country!
Wow! This was such a great cabin. About the only thing that pulled us away was Glacier National Park. This cabin was everything we were looking for in a top of the line Montana vacation rental. When we weren't at Glacier, we were on the porch watching the beautiful Flathead River roll by. If you like to raft or kayak, there is ample opportunity to do so, literally right out your back door. There are several boat launches up the road, and you can float right up to the cabin! Speaking of the cabin, it is a living example of someone's dream log cabin. I kept hearing my brother-in-law, a retired carpenter, exclaiming "wow!" The cabin is perfectly decorated and it's obvious the owners cherish it. Lucky Dogs! Thanks for sharing your place!
Relax by the river - while staring at the snow capped mountains !
The communication was excellent, the Chalet was large, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The large covered porch, however, is the highlight of the experience with the Flathead River steps away and the view of Glacier National Park mountains in the distance. We had a wonderful stay.
We left an important item when checking out in a rush - the owner personally retrieved the item and drove to town and shipped it safely to us . True gold star service and empathy for our situation.
We travel and rent frequently through VRBO so I rely heavily on reviews and I’m telling you you cannot go wrong with the Glacier Chalet. My only traveler comments would be be prepared for the somewhat remote location - and the yard is actually elevated a bit above the river , with rocks to step down on to get to the waters edge. The river was very high in late June - we fished from the bank a bit easily.

Excellent location with wonderful sunrises
We stayed in October 2015 and the chalet was great. The location was very convenient to Glacier NP and restaurants in Columbia Falls. The chalet was very comfortable and the layout provided privacy for 2 couples. My only issue was with the beds. The beds were smallish and a bit uncomfortable.. but they were not the reason we stayed there. I would recommend this location for anyone wanting to visit Glacier NP or just wants to fish right out the front door.
If the purpose is to visit Glacier NP, this was a very bad time of the year. The Going to the Sun was closed on the east side ( you could enter from the west side but turned around at Logan Pass) and most of the park lodging and restaurants were also closed for the season, and, large number of business that rely on park visitors were also closed outside the park, especially on the east side.
The Glacier Chalet is a very nice cabin and located in a great location. I would like to return when all the park facilities are open.
Loved the location. The river behind the property is definitely the highlight. Very peaceful area. Kitchen was just updated which is always the best place to hang out inside. Will be back.
This property was absolutely fantastic!!! It is set back all by itself, and the view of the back deck overlooking the river is stunning. The bed was very comfortable. The place was very clean and the kitchen had all the things I needed to prepare meals the week we were there.
This is a decent sized property with lots of locally themed decorations. The house is spacious, clean, and everything feels welcoming. The location is great, but may be diffcult to get to initially. The river is right by the house, and fun to walk into in the shallow parts.
This cabin on the river was just what we needed.
It had amazing views (we saw moose across the river), and a daily turkey that came and sat on the patio.
Would definitely recommend for your next stay!
Our family of 6 stayed there 4 nights. Was extremely roomy and comfortable. Beautiful log home. Location was close to Columbia Falls and Whitefish for restaurants and coffee but also remote on river. Big factor for us choosing it was river access 50 feet from back door for fly fishing. Caught several trout right behind home and also quarter mile up river where it narrowed. Great covered wrap around back porch on river side for sitting and eating. Steve the owner was extremely responsive and replaced the can of propane the next morning after it got low. I can’t think of a box it didn’t check for us. Great trip!
My first trip to Montana was everything I had hoped for. Location was great, the chalet was PERFECT . This was such a beautiful place to stay, owner is great to communicate with, absolutely no complaints. I will most definitely stay here again !
Hidden down a gravel road is a great place to relax and enjoy a true Montana experience. Great cabin right on the river, enjoyed fly fishing 50’ from the deck. Guide boats pass by all day so you know there’s fish. View off deck straight into Glaicier National Park range. Inside was roomie, comfortable space. We grilled out on the deck, great amenities. 15 min to park entrance. Will be back for a longer stay.
Very comfortable home. Spacious, Clean and well stocked. Very nice beds. Internet, Starlink, TVs with DISH Cable. Everything you would want in the house. The views are Amazing (on the Columbia River). 30 minutes outsode the west entrance of Glacier. Host very responsive. Be Back Soon! Thank You!
