We are returning guests, and once again, this cabin did not disappoint! The mountain views are absolutely breathtaking, and the cabin is clean, quiet, affordable, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub and fireplace make it even more special. The host is wonderful, responsive, and always willing to help, including assisting us with getting the fireplace going and promptly replacing the Keurig when needed. We also love that it’s dog-friendly! Our pups were welcomed with their own bowls and toys, such a thoughtful touch. It’s hard to find a place that checks all the boxes, but this cabin certainly does. We truly appreciate the hospitality and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

Nice property. Beautiful views. If you’re going to prepare food for a lot of your meals, there were a few things that would have made things easier (a couple more dish towels, a couple more detergent pods for the dishwasher, a full set of measuring cups). Most may not need this. Pool table was a hit with the kids. The property is accessed by roads that are not great, so careful driving in. But not dangerous in any way other than by virtue of being somewhat steep, winding mountain roads, which is the whole point, isn’t it?

Hey Robert, Thank you so much for the kind words about Lookout Lodge and for taking the time to share your feedback. We're thrilled the views and pool table made your stay memorable, and we really appreciate your understanding about the mountain roads, which are definitely part of the charm up here. Your suggestions about the kitchen supplies are genuinely helpful, and we'll absolutely look into adding extra dish towels, dishwasher pods, and a complete set of measuring cups to make meal prep easier for guests in the future. We hope you'll visit us again soon!

Family mountain trip!!!

This was our first family trip as three generations. We had a great time. Lookout lodge, having three levels provided space as well as closeness for everyone. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table was a big hit.

Well stocked kitchen. Very spacious, a lot of space. When we arrived the side door was unlocked. House numbers not well seen from road- making it hard to find at night. Hot tub did not get very warm. Some of the carpets were stained/dirty- likely from previous pets that stayed.

Perfect Location to Hatley Pointe!!

We loved staying so close to the ski resort. The view is amazing and you can't beat the location. We had an easy time finding the cabin and checking in. There were a couple small issues with the sheets and hot tub that Carolina Mornings took care of immediately! Read the listing on service and wifi - it was one of the only hard parts in planning our days. We will definitely be back to Hatley Pointe!!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

Plenty of space for my family of 5 to spread out. Very comfy living spaces. Very clean and well-stocked kitchen. The only downside is it's a 20-30+ min drive to any restaurant/store. However, we brought all our supplies with us, so just enjoyed staying in the cabin.

First and foremost, the views were beautiful. Sunset was especially spectacular. The house is Pet friendly which was a must for us, so we were just fine if the place was feeing just a little worn (floors especially). The management was terrific. Communication was great and prompt. Even had a maintenance guy in right away for minor fixes. Instruction including access drive was very helpful. The house was plenty spacious and plenty of different areas and levels. Furnishings were plentiful and comfortable. Beds, linens, and kitchen items were all fine. Interesting and slightly challenging access road, but not busy at all. Not entirely secluded especially if you have loud neighbors like we did for part of the stay. Close enough to many cool places including Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway along with several other cute places and towns. Not far for groceries and supplies

Perfect mountain getaway!

We had the bed time here. The place was clean, comfortable and easy to get to. The only thing I would change would be the cheap papers and get a new hot tub as theirs doesn’t really “jet” and is small. Beds were comfy and the views are amazing! We will come back for sure!

Very well appointed cabin with all the necessary appliances. Spacious and pleasant with an incredible view of the nearby mountains. The road to get to the cabin is steep and challenging at night but the location is worth it! Perfect for up to 8 people looking for a relaxing stay.
