Well stocked kitchen. Very spacious, a lot of space. When we arrived the side door was unlocked. House numbers not well seen from road- making it hard to find at night. Hot tub did not get very warm. Some of the carpets were stained/dirty- likely from previous pets that stayed.

Hey Katalin & Teresa,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad you enjoyed the spaciousness and kitchen amenities at Lookout Lodge. We apologize for any inconvenience regarding the door, visibility, and hot tub. We'll address these issues promptly. Thank you for your feedback.
Excellent clean cabin with amazing views. Only recommendations are seating for the bottom balcony and throw blankets. Overall, perfect quiet getaway for my boyfriend, myself, and our fur babies. Would book again.
This was our first family trip as three generations. We had a great time. Lookout lodge, having three levels provided space as well as closeness for everyone. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table was a big hit.

Hey Beth,
Thank you for staying at Lookout Lodge. We are glad you enjoyed the spacious property to bond with your family. We are hoping to host you again in the future!
We loved staying so close to the ski resort. The view is amazing and you can't beat the location. We had an easy time finding the cabin and checking in. There were a couple small issues with the sheets and hot tub that Carolina Mornings took care of immediately! Read the listing on service and wifi - it was one of the only hard parts in planning our days. We will definitely be back to Hatley Pointe!!

Awesome views and changing vistas by the hour!! Loved the peaceful environment and comfortable conditions. Great house for mixed group plus families. Nice room separation. We had an awesome stay far away from it all!
Plenty of space for my family of 5 to spread out. Very comfy living spaces. Very clean and well-stocked kitchen. The only downside is it's a 20-30+ min drive to any restaurant/store. However, we brought all our supplies with us, so just enjoyed staying in the cabin.

Great views... very clean... kind of out near nothing so bring everything you need as we found out the hard way. No condiments at the lodge so if grilling bring your own!

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
pleasant with issues
issues:
-signage on unit hard to read from car making difficult to locate
information book poor - no information on TV, cable provider, no information on appliances, bathroom shower, etc.
furnishings need to be refurbished - pillows, sheets, pillow covers.
First and foremost, the views were beautiful. Sunset was especially spectacular. The house is Pet friendly which was a must for us, so we were just fine if the place was feeing just a little worn (floors especially). The management was terrific. Communication was great and prompt. Even had a maintenance guy in right away for minor fixes. Instruction including access drive was very helpful. The house was plenty spacious and plenty of different areas and levels. Furnishings were plentiful and comfortable. Beds, linens, and kitchen items were all fine. Interesting and slightly challenging access road, but not busy at all. Not entirely secluded especially if you have loud neighbors like we did for part of the stay. Close enough to many cool places including Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway along with several other cute places and towns. Not far for groceries and supplies
What a perfect property for my book club's Reading Retreat - plenty of space to spread out with comfy couches and a magnificent view. Couldn't have been happier with this property!
We had the bed time here. The place was clean, comfortable and easy to get to. The only thing I would change would be the cheap papers and get a new hot tub as theirs doesn’t really “jet” and is small. Beds were comfy and the views are amazing! We will come back for sure!
Very well appointed cabin with all the necessary appliances. Spacious and pleasant with an incredible view of the nearby mountains. The road to get to the cabin is steep and challenging at night but the location is worth it! Perfect for up to 8 people looking for a relaxing stay.
About 45 minutes outside of downtown Asheville and approximately 2 miles of very windy road up to the cabin from the main road.
Cabin is very large and very close to the neighbors homes (which all look exactly the same) however during our stay it was very quiet and we hardly saw anyone.
Upon entering the cabin there was a strong musty oder reminiscent of a locker room. I opened the large doors on the main floor overlooking the spectacular view for a few hours and that seemed to help a little. It’s probably time to clean/replace the rugs.
Kitchen was nice and had everything you could ever need to cook/bake real meals (just bring your own spices) and the fridge was humongous, so you can stock up and never have to leave the property.
We decided to sleep upstairs at first because the room felt grand with its cathedral ceilings, but after a few nights on a very, very, very firm mattress we moved downstairs to the main floor master where the bed was much softer and bigger. There were two more bedrooms one with bunk beds and plenty of room for kids to spread out, the other downstairs tucked away with its own bathroom too. Great space for a family to spend quality time together and apart.
The double decks were the best part for me. Up top I had coffee every morning and down below I sat in the hot tub for every sunset. The hot tub is very basic and feels more like a hot spring than a therapeutic spa. Still a very nice amenity.
I must say the views are the best part of this rental and I had no other choice but to be drawn in and naturally let go.
I would be interested in seeing how this place is during the winter months, as we stayed 6 nights in August. Maybe we’ll come back.
Happy Travels
Wonderful location and accommodations. Great views. Proximity to ski lift was important to us. The drive to get up the mountain is treacherous when there’s snow and ice. 4 wheel drive was a must
