Hilltop Cottage on Partridge Lake. A family-friendly community in Littleton, NH.
A charming renovated summer cottage, originally built in 1905 on Partridge Lake. Private lake-front swimming area including canoe and kayak. Owner's boat shown in photo not included. Boat slip available as an extra. Partridge Lake is a 100 acre 2-loon lake a short drive from I93 and downtown Littleton. While there are 9 sleeping places, the cottage has three sleeping areas with accommodations for up to four adults and five children. Perfect for one large or two small families. 8 adults will not be comfortable here due to the configuration of beds and sleeping areas.
A whimsical treehouse/deck provides fantastic lake views. The private beach bar includes refrigerator and grill. During summer prime time, we cater to weekly rentals with a Saturday turn-around.
Caution: The stairs to the second floor bedrooms are ladder-like steep. There are good handrails which facilitate safe passage. The very young and old need to exercise caution when using the stairs.
We are NOT a pet friendly establishment. Pets are not allowed.
Note: Owner lives on the property in a completely separate building and may be in residence for part or all of your stay.

Our group of four adults stayed at the cottage in September 2021 for six nights. We could not have had a better time. The cottage is in a fabulous, quiet location. The treehouse deck was our favorite spot. We did not mind the very steep inside stairs - you just need to take your time on them and use the railings. It was fun to go up and down the hilly path all day from the cottage to the treehouse to the lake to the parking - we all needed to burn the calories anyway. We hope to return for another visit. Owner Albert was very easy to communicate with and he always replied promptly. Cottage perfectly stocked with everything we needed including icy martini glasses waiting in the freezer when we arrived!
We loved our stay. The little cabin was so welcoming and cozy! We loved the huge porch. It is a very functional house but if you are looking for super fancy, up to date everything, this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a relaxing, calm vacation location and home, this is perfect. We enjoyed hearing the loons, reading on the deck. Boating on the lake, reading on the cool tree deck. We cooked lots of meals. Again, very functional but not fancy. Did a great job with pizza, eggs, chili and toast.
Albert was such a welcoming and accommodating host! We felt very welcome. He was easy to communicate with but we never felt he was too close even though he is just next door. As the description states, the steps to the bedrooms are very very steep.not for everyone but added to the charm! The bedrooms were a good size and were very inviting.at first, I was concerned it might get too hot because there is no a/c but Albert assured me we wouldn't need it and he was right. The house sits atop a hill and has a nice breeze most of the time.
I would love to stay at the hilltop cottage in the future!

The house was located on a beautiful Lake ,and we had fun swimming and kayaking.
I felt that the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were a bit precarious. Not good for children or elderly.

Wonderfully relaxing !
A relaxing weekend getaway for my 50th birthday! Lakeviews from every seat on the porch. The treetop deck was terrific. Spent 4 hours relaxing in the lake at the platform dock and enjoyed breakfast lakeside. So happy to find this gem. Will definately go back and stay longer!

About the host
Hosted by Albert Howes & Lyne Riel
We are a married couple - one from Montreal and the other from Boston. We chose Littleton due to it being halfway between our families in Boston and Montreal.
Why they chose this property
Peace and quiet together with private lakefront and beach bar make this hilltop cottage the perfect get-a-way. We are about 5 miles from I93 and downtown Littleton, a quaint village offering shopping, restaurants and a movie house.
What makes this property unique
Huge porch overlooking the lake. Big enough to include a free-standing hammock. Excellent hiking opportunities in the nearby White Mountains. A tree-deck with gang plank access provides dramatic views of the lake. We have lake shoreline on two sides of the property. The South side lakefront is shallow and peaceful - perfect for your children to safely play in the water. The North side lakefront features a small dock perfect for diving into 15 foot deep water and then swimming out to our floating raft.
