This is a perfect place to stay ( drive way would not be fun in winter). The layout of home is nice and very spacious. We especially loved the backyard and it’s peacefulness. Deer and turkeys showed up everyday to greet us . Would recommend and stay again for sure !
Three of our guys stayed here for a business trip for a month and had nothing but good things to say about it. The owner was very communicative and clearly cares about this property. We still have a continuing job here and if we are to return, we would love to stay here again. 10/10!
We enjoyed this comfortable, well-appointed home in the woods. Very clean and spacious. Easy to reach, yet well away from the highway. Darby was very responsive.
Darby's home is quite lovely and comfortable. Perfect for our Apple Hill trip. Darby was very responsive when we had a question. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.
This was our first VRBO stay and we were extremely pleased with this lovely home. The property is very neat and clean and safe with scenic views of pine trees and woods all around. It was a comfortable and relaxing home to stay in along with a nice backyard.
Darby was a gracious host and her home was lovely. Spacious, nicely furnished, and had everything we needed for a one month stay. The location was incredible and allowed us to visit many sights within Northern California.
We reserved Darby's home as a place to stay while my family was camping at Union Valley Reservoir. We typically stay at the campsite, but thought we'd enjoy having a bed and warm shower at the end of long days at the lake. This was the perfect spot! The home is clean and very comfortable, the backyard is perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee, and it was very easy to get in and out of the neighborhood to drive up to the lake each day. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and would happily reserve it again - maybe next time to play in some snow!
The house was wonderful! It was a great space to stay in for our weekend getaway with everything updated. The location was beautiful and relaxing but close to everything we needed. The owner was accommodating and helpful.

Wonderful Property for a Short Stay at Apple Hill
Darby's property was awesome. It is very clean and neat. She has a wonderful space and it was perfect to get to Apple Hill for the Day. The Drive to Apple Hill was 10 Minutes and we really enjoyed the house. She has a great outdoor space for sitting and enjoying a drink or hanging out inside. We loved the property.

Spacious, clean, perfect
More than enough room for 6 adults, immaculate, bathrooms fit for a 5 star hotel and surrounded by towering pines. The back deck perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the day or night.
When buying a house get the cheapest in the neighborhood, when vacationing get the nicest house in the neighborhood. This is the latter and a bargain.
Highest recommendation.

Quiet, relaxing house in the woods
We spent a few relaxing days but thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the house. The open layout and spacious rooms gave all 5 of us tons of room. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the back deck in the morning and the deer & turkeys in the backyard in the evening. The kitchen is large and well equipped for cooking. Great location for our time spent wine tasting and rafting nearby.

Beautiful Vacation Home
Our family enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights in July. Darby's home is in a beautiful location surrounded by pine trees. The home is spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We brought along our kayaks and enjoyed exploring Jenkinson Lake. Next time we plan a getaway to this area we will definitely look forward to staying here again.

Great house in Pollock Pines
My wife and three grandchildren and I stayed at Darby‘s house for the week. There were a couple of housekeeping issues that had to be corrected at the start of our stay. Darby got right on it and corrected them right away. We hope to stay at Darby’s house again sometime in the future.

Very Nice Updated Home
Beautiful house! Great location to highway 50 and town. Darcy was great at communicating and making sure we had everything we needed. Our only advice is to be prepared if staying in the winter. House sits in a VERY steep hill with a very steep driveway. We had the misfortune of staying during an abnormal blizzard which made our stay a little more challenging but you can’t control the weather.

Why they chose this property
This is my family home that I grew up in and live in today. After a house fire in 2012 the house was completely rebuilt from the foundation up in 2014 and so everything is very new and nice (please help me keep it that way).
What makes this property unique
Very modern and new, open and airy with lots of natural light and beautiful private views while still being in a neighborhood and very close to conveniences and the freeway. The back deck is spacious, opening up to a lawn and then backing up to a forested greenbelt that is magical. This location really puts you in a beautiful spot close to many other beautiful places like Apple Hill, Lake Tahoe, and Amador County to name a few.
