About the host
Hosted by Steve
My name is Steve. Born and raised in a 'leave it to beaver' type household in upstate New York. I have done quite a bit of wandering on my own since graduating college down in Florida. Besides upstate NY and Florida for school, I have lived in Philly, Chicago, Aspen, CO, San Juan, PR, with a few good backpacking trips intermixed throughout. I consider myself to be fairly self-sufficient, and enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is quiet and safe, where we know our neighbors, but within blocks of bustling Colfax Ave and a very short drive to most any shopping you could want.
There are a number of spots on Colfax Ave that have as plenty of character that are within walking range.
Morse Park is a very short walk around the block and offers a few outdoor recreation options including, horseshoe pit, tennis courts, swings, and a public pool (in Summer).
Blocks away, the Charles Whitlock Recreation Center has pickleball courts, in-door basketball/volleyball courts and a great fitness area with free-weights and cardio equipment. Inexpensive punch-passes are available at the check-in desk.
Crown Hill Park is an outdoor space 1 mile away with has some easy running trails, a small lake, and a bird sanctuary area.
