We had a great time on the island and this property fit our family of 9 adults and 3 kids well. We did breakfast most mornings in the master suite and then lunches on the main floor. Being on the east side we had fantastic sunrises and a shaded pool in the evenings. The 3 kids used the pool every day and the adults cooled off as well. Many extra beach amenities were provided and the host was very responsive.

Amazing Isla Mujeres Property!

This is an amazing property near the center of town. It was perfect for our larger group (6 adults and 3 children). Plenty of space for everyone and the common areas are perfect. We would certainly recommend Dawn and Tom’s property to anyone looking for a family or group vacation!

Incredible experience

My family (14 people) had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. The house was clean and comfortable and a short walk to all the attractions of North Beach (beaches, restaurants, etc). We also enjoyed the ocean views from the porch and from the pool. Highly recommended.

Great place for a big group

This was a great property to accommodate our larger-than-normal group! The location is close to the Piers for charter pick-up (whale sharks) and restaurants easily within walking distance. We did not need to rent a golf cart at all to stay in the action. The pool was awesome and shared spaces made it easy to gather and hang out - all 16 of us! Definitely would stay again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Castellito

Very well suited for our group of four couples. Beautiful views, good amenities. Dogs barking at inconvenient sleeping hours on roof of adjacent building directly south were an issue, particularly in bedrooms on that side of Castellito. There a six small yappy dogs. This mostly affects the Penthouse suite. Neighborhood was otherwise quite convenient with easy walking to numerous great restaurants and beaches. House is right on the Malecon (seawall), so morning runs/walks are pretty sweet.

Fabulous place and location

We rented the downstairs and upstairs. Perfect size for my family of 4, my brothers family of 3 and our mother. Great that they provide beach towels. Walking distance to grocery store, bars and restaurants. Kitchen had all necessary things to cook with. Owners are super friendly.

Isla Family Reunion

We enjoyed our stay in Isla. We rented the entire property and it was a good space for our family, there was ample room for everyone to spread out. We were able to easily walk to most things we wanted to do with easy access to the grocery store, beach and restaurants. There was good communication between the owners and property manager. We did have difficulty with closing & locking the patio doors on the 1st & 2nd floor. The water pressure in the kitchen on the 1st floor & the guest bathroom was poor. The views were great!

Location, location, location

Every year since 2007 my family has rented through VRBO for our annual vacation. This house has a great location-within a short walk to everything on the north side of the very cool island. (We did rent golf carts to get to the south end which had some spectacular views-and stopped at "The Joint" multiple times on the way) We felt very safe at this house. However, it is not quite as bright as the pictures show and is showing its age a bit-probably due to the salt air. Beds are very comfy. If we could have left the front door open to take advantage of the ocean breeze, it would have been nicer, but the smell from the garbage cans by the door prevented that. My daughter ripped her pants when she sat on the upstairs futon because staples were sticking up where the buttons had fallen off (Tom fixed the futon immediately). And the roach/palmetto bug invasion in the main floor bedroom on our last night had 2 people sleeping in the living room with the lights on. Despite those two issues we had a great time here. While at the house, we spent most of our time on the main deck facing the ocean because the breeze and view were fantastic. The kitchen is well stocked but we didn't cook much simply because the food on the island was inexpensive and excellent! There was plenty of room for our group of nine adults and we would have no problem staying here again.

Amazing place!!

We loved and appreciated everything about this rental. The 2 suites and 2 bed/baths were perfect for the 4 couples staying there. The pool was great, we loved that it got sun and shade. Tom and his wife stay in the 3rd level (which isn’t noted anywhere that I saw) but it was great. Tom gave us a great tour when we arrived and was there to answer any questions we had.

We visit Isla often Wonderful family vacation we had 7 adults and 3 kids House has perfect location on the Malecon. Owners were great very responsive. Would def stay here again.

Outstanding stay - recommend!

Owner was helpful, accommodating and generous. They accommodated adjusted check-in/out times, and were generally helpful. It was tricky to find the property, but only bc we didn’t access the Facebook arrival video while traveling (check that out first - map doesn’t really work). The house is extremely well-equipped, and unlike a lot of places that throw out extra food, etc, this place had rice, laundry detergent, etc. We had an outstanding experience and will return for sure. Huge thank you to the hosts for providing a most memorable piece of our vacation for my family of 6.

The location of this property can't be beat, however, the street out the front is slightly busy with a narrow sidewalk. The view is incredible and going out the front of the house you are directly on the Malecon. Dawn and Tom are lovely and were very easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Location for Sargassum-Free North Beach!

Playa Norte does not have the algae (sargassum) problem that Cancun and Playa del Carmen have. This villa is a 10 min walk from the ferry and 10 min walk to one of the best beaches in the world. It is also walking distance to downtown where 90% of the nightlife/restaurants/shopping is located. We rented the full villa that includes 4 bed rooms and 4 baths, one full kitchen and 2 kitchenettes. All the rooms were large and with comfortable beds. The pool is great and has a 12 inch shelf that my toddler loved to play in. The place is very well equipped with kitchen supplies, towels, and even a washer/dryer. The hosts were very helpful and were always quick to respond. I'll def come back to visit.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay; perfect location and helpful hosts. There are always unexpected things when you travel and Mexico is a third world country, but we would stay there again if we ever have the need for a house that large again.

Best of Everything!

This was our third trip to Isla and I believe we have found our “go to” place to stay. A short walk from the ferry, cart rental on the way and you are at a great home on the Malecon. The Centro restaurants and North Beach are an easy walk, head south on your cart to your other favorites. Being July, our family made great use of the splash pool and stretched out to relax and listen to the waves crashing. The house is wonderful and is as advertised. Plenty of room to rumble around in for the six of us. The owners, Dawn and Tom, were so great to work with from reservation time to our sad goodbyes today. You will be pleased if this is your choice in Isla for a group. P.S. La Lomita a few doors down has incredible food and was our go to for afternoon hors d’oeuvres....ceviche, guacamole, skewers, etc....
