About this property

4BR, 2 full bath unit that is part of a multi-unit house. The 4BR unit sleeps up to 8 people. We also have a 1BR and 2BR unit at the same address. The 4BR unit is located 30 feet above ground level and has a wonderful view of the beach. The Muth Beach House has been in our family since 1953. The house is beachfront property so you literally walk across the dune to reach the ocean. The 4BR unit offers a Queen bed in 3 bedrooms and a set of twin beds in the 4th bedroom. Fully stocked and operational kitchen along with a spacious sitting area that looks out at the beach. The 4BR unit includes a private outside deck area offering enjoyment and seating. The Muth Beach House is located just 10 miles from Myrtle Beach airport and 3 miles from Murrells Inlet.
WiFi is offered throughout the property and cable televisions are in every bedroom.
Outdoor elevator is available to help reach each floor of the house.
Common outdoor grill can be used by all guests.
Shared washer and dryer unit located outside for all guests to use and share.
Check-in time is 3:00 pm
Check-out time is 10:00 am
All standard rentals are weekly and begin on Saturday afternoon. For possible rentals not beginning on a Saturday or not being for 7 nights, please contact the owner to discuss.

Great property, perfect weather almost perfect stay

The 4br unit was just as described, plus they featured individual sinks/vanities in each room, very convenient. The unit was perfect for our needs including the elevator for my aging mother. The beach access was convenient, one of the closest of all the properties I've stayed at over the years. The only drawback...we found out the first day that Garden City does not allow canopies on the beach, so we had to search the town for umbrellas. Not the owner's fault, I have been used to staying at properties in Surfside. I would definitely stay in the unit again, as well as recommend it to other renters.

Awesome view, can hardly wait to return

Home away from home! 4 Bedroom , beautiful porch and deck, awesome view! Beds comfortable (1 bedroom with 2 Twins were not so comfortable but I imagine for child weight okay but not as adult) House has a few quirks but nothing that would keep me away. Nothing fancy but loved it, felt at home first day! Rebooked for 2024....loved our stay and looking forward to returning. Washer/ dryer/elevator BBQ grill all in great shape. Elevator a PLUS if someone has mobility challenges and great for groceries!

Yes, legend has it that our Grandfather won this property in a poker game back in 1953. Since that time this beach house has become a very special place for our family to visit and enjoy. The original house was built in 1953 and destroyed by Hurricane Hazel in 1954. It was rebuilt and back in operation by 1956. Hurricane Hugo badly damaged the house in 1989. Our Grandmother's resiliency and determination rebuilt the house again with the grand reopening to its current state in 1991. Grandmother loved this house and considered it her home. The two Muth grandchildren now own the L.A. Muth Beach House, and we are proud and happy to be able to share this special place with others. We completed a full interior update and added a new outdoor deck in 2016. We hope you come and see the new place!
