About this property
Solar & Wind Powered Lodge on 160 Acres - Discount for 3+ nights
Welcome to the Indian Ridge Lodge, run by the Maxfield family, who lives here year-around. This is a rustic, remote bed and breakfast on 160 acres in rural Sanpete County with five themed bedrooms, a game room, and a 2,000 square foot great room. The Game Room is complete with pool table, foosball table, ping-pong table, couches, etc. We are conveniently located between Manti and Provo, just far enough from each for excellent stargazing on clear nights.
A full hot breakfast can be ordered for $8.00 per person if ordered at least two weeks in advance.
The charming bedrooms are located on the basement level that houses the Game Room, while the 2,000 square foot Great Room is on the main floor. The main floor is great for handicapped-accessibility, but the basement is accessed via the code-compliant staircase. If you have difficulty traversing stairs, we can show you how to get in and out of the basement through an unfinished storage room but it wouldn't be very glamorous or convenient for you. Please text us for more details if there's any possibility of this being a concern.
Nine futons are located in the common areas for extra sleeping capacity. All bedrooms have at least one bunk and all bunks are carpeted -- we do not provide foam pads. We recommend bringing your own gear for the bunks and futons but if you forget a sleeping bag or two, sleeping bag rentals are $10 each for entire stay, without regard to length of stay.
Maximum overnight occupancy for the entire place is 40 or so (including children) with people sleeping on bunks, futons, etc. (Please thoroughly review accommodations and make sure they are satisfactory before booking, as this number includes 2 people on each queen and double, and a child on each bunk.)
There is seating for over sixty in the Great Room, so events like weddings and receptions can be held with as many as two hundred people or more in an open house format where everyone doesn't show up at the same time.
In addition to the bathrooms inside each of the five bedrooms, there is a handicapped-accessible family restroom on the main level, and in the basement we have a four-stall women's restroom, and a three-stall men's restroom.
Guests have their own kitchen in the Great Room complete with range, refrigerator, etc. so they can prepare their own meals. Additionally, access to the semi-commercial shared kitchen is available if needed we can give you a quote on catering. Either way, please make sure to communicate with us so everyone is on the same page -- even the nearest small-town grocery is still nearly twenty miles away. Please bring your own paper plates and serving ware for any meals that are not catered.
Check-in is from 3:00-8:00 PM and Check-out is 11:00 AM. It may be possible to make special arrangements with advanced notice; please check with us BEFORE you book if you want us to make an exception, and please let us know ASAP if you are running late.
Text us with any inquiries you may have. We are happy to hear from you and see if we can accommodate your specific needs. Once you get here, we should be around and available to answer any of your questions since we live full-time in the end of the Lodge that we don't rent out.
This place serves as a great pad to launch you into nearby Skyline Drive, historic Milburn, scenic Nebo Loop, renowned Maple Canyon (known for its rock-climbing), stunning Spring City, etc., and it's about forty minutes from Manti. Other tourist attractions include nearby fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, cycling, ATV trails, and elk ranches. Fifteen minutes away are Fairview's Museum and public park, which is complete with tennis courts, basketball courts, and a playground. We are also within twenty-five minutes of a golf course and a swimming pool.
Alternatively, the lounge areas with five freestanding stoves in the great room, game room, and cozy mini-library make this lodge an inviting place if you're looking for a comfortable place to just chill and unplug; far, far away from the cares of the city, news, and television.
Off-grid location!
We are completely isolated from any power company, and harvest our power from the sun and wind. We do have a beefy battery and back-up generator to fill in the gaps.
Free Wifi is included with stay.
Unfortunately, we do not have facilities to accommodate pets indoors or outdoors.
This facility is non-smoking but we do have cigarette disposal receptacles outside for your convenience.

Amazing place!! Had so much room for everyone to be comfortable and had so many fun things for everyone to do!! An amazing yard and even better views!! They owners are the sweetest people too!! Definitely will be back!!
Great space to gather for a family reunion. We enjoyed 4-wheeling right from the property, watching movies on the big screen (and the popcorn was awesome!). Very nice firepits and nice landscaping.
This place was great for our youth retreat, everyone on our group loved the breakfast the hosts prepared for our large group, beautiful property with a large room upstairs for activities, bedrooms in the basement, game room that teens enjoy during some free time, outdoor space for activities, the host was prompt to answer all my questions, I will definitely use this place again.
This is our second time staying here with our family. Plenty of room for everyone! (Grandparents, siblings, cousins, etc). We loved relaxing on the back porch and star gazing at night. Kristen and Jason are very nice and great to communicate with. (And their breakfasts are delicious!) Lots of fun memories made again. Would stay again!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
The most disappointing thing was that it was not as advertised. They did not serve us breakfast. There were no arcade games unless you consider pool, foosball and ping pong as arcade games. The hosts were very accessible and kind.
This is an excellent location for family reunions and get togethers. I had a family reunion there recently and had close to 60 people that were all comfortably accommodated for. Plenty of space with living spaces to sit and talk, or to have some of the kids go down stairs and play pool, ping pong of foosball. Never felt cramped. The counter/serving area was ideal to lay out breakfast, lunch and dinner and make it all easy to ensure that food was never an issue. This was a great place and loved the cozy feel. The owners were wonderful and easy to work with. If you looking for a good place that isn't too far away this is a wonderful location.
We normally like to have our family reunion off the grid, tent style... but as our parents get older, that type of camping is getting harder and harder. This year, we decided to try something new and we happened to find the Indian Ridge Lodge which served as the perfect location for our family to gather for a few days. It also enabled our parents to come and stay the entire time. The accommodations were great and the hosts super friendly. It was a great getaway! Thank you!
We recently held a family reunion at this property. Kristen and Jason were very accommodating, making sure that all of our needs were met. We had some unusual requests and they provided everything that was necessary. We had plenty of room to accommodate our very large extended family downstairs. They provided a wonderful breakfast for us all on one of the mornings that we stayed (at our request we consolidated the regular breakfasts into one large breakfast). The property was quiet and clean and was out of town enough to enjoy some stargazing at night. Plenty of room to play games upstairs throughout the days. I highly recommend this property!
We had a great stay with 28 girls. They loved the property and they had every amenity we needed to make meals, etc. sleeping arrangements were perfect. Kristen was so helpful and kind as a host. Truly cared about our experience.
We had a church group stay here for 2 nights. There was plenty of space for us to spread out for various activities. Some were inside and some were outside. There are large areas to gather and also small sitting areas for more intimate conversations. They had a great sound system but we never ended up using it. We had some youth that were playing games late at night and I worried we were keeping the hosts up but they were insistent that there were no problems. The hosts were helpful when needed and were out of the way otherwise. The property was exactly what we had hoped for.
We were so excited to get together as a family after COVID. We found the perfect place, Indian Ridge Lodge. Our hostesses Kristen and Jason were beyond kind and made us feel at home each and every day. Our mornings began with a delicious breakfast that even the older kids couldn’t wait to get up for and indulge. We played Kubb in the back lawn, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, had a Karaoke night, talent night, played ping pong, pool and put multiple puzzles together. But the best part was just being together away from all distractions. We rekindle our love for one another as a family at Indian Ridge Lodge!
Owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. Sleeping arrangements weren’t quite what we expected but we made it work. It was a good experience for us.
Everything about our wedding was absolutely PERFECT!! They helped us out so much providing tablecloths, sleeping bags for overnight guests, serving utensils, etc. Could not have had a better experience. Thank you guys so much!!!
Calm, peaceful, beautiful location; gracious hosts; wonderful food; perfect for a large party. We had adults downstairs and kids upstairs—worked great!
We had a wonderful time at this property. We loved being off the grid with so much beauty surrounding us. The owners helped us in every way they could. The huge great room, game room and bedrooms/bathrooms downstairs were perfect for our big group of almost 40. The breakfasts were amazing. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. I would definitely recommend the lodge for a family reunion.
We held our Palmer Reunion in this beautiful property. Our experience from the beginning to the end was very positive.

This property is all it looks like in the picture and more. Decorative details are impressive.
Every step of our experience was wonderful!
The host couple was accomodating and friendly. The place was clean, warm and inviting. The space was enough that we had many different activities in each little nook and group activities in the large spaces.
The breakfast was high class delicious.
No concerns, all went well from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Amazing Location and Amazing Host!
The building spectacular! The main lobby we turned into a worship room with projector and speakers, it was the ideal spot for our group of ~40. We were given a lot of flexibility on how to layout tables and our instruments/sound system. Everyone thought the place was just beautiful. The sleeping quarters downstairs was great too with ping pong tables and pool tables, kids had a lot of fun. Lots of room for group discussions and small groups.
Breakfast was amazing! The scones were a huge hit with everyone. The family was very accommodating, always available for questions and help, and great for conversation too! I think we may have been a bit too loud, but they were welcoming of it and were just awesome hosts to us.
Definitely look to book here again!
