Holidays can be taken all the year round in Calvisson, it enjoys a micro climate unique to a small area of land between the Cevennes and the Mediterranean
Imagine Winter, not with grey skies, wet streets and biting cold winds, but azure blue skies, warming sunshine, walking on the hills, foraging amongst French markets before returning to your delightfully renovated three storey Provençal cottage complete with log fire and central heating. Summers are just as well catered for with the bassin (small pool) and outdoor terrace beckoning after a day on the beach. Or, you may prefer visiting the historic Roman city of Nimes or the Duchy town of Uzes; or horse riding in The Camargue.
The house itself is elegant French living with the advantages of modern facilities. The main open plan living area opens onto the courtyard. There is an extra toilet on this level.The two double bedrooms each have their own en-suite bathroom, the main bedroom enjoying a small balcony overlooking the courtyard and bassin It has been decorated in neutral colours to reflect the internal stone walls and to enhance the antiques of the region which form part of the interior design of the home.

Christel, a French lady, takes care of the upkeep of the house for us, she does the "meet and greet", hands over keys (from 4.30pm on arrival day), and collects keys (11am maximum on departure day).
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

A great return to Calvisson

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house in Calvisson. It is well located for easy access to all the amenities in the town. The plunge pool was a godsend given the high temperatures whilst we were there. Highly recommended.

Très jolie location et bien située.

Location aménagée avec beaucoup de goût et très spacieuse. Le seul inconvénient est l'absence de climatisation tout du moins dans les chambres car les ventilateurs ne sont pas toujours efficaces lors des fortes chaleurs.

Maison très sympathique dans une région jolie !

Nous avons passé une agréable semaine à calvisson ! Il y a dans les alentours beaucoup de choses à voir et la plage n’est qu’à une demie heure en voiture. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Jayne à notre arrivée !

Seit Jahren verbringen wir unseren Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus. Es bietet alles was man braucht. Durch seinen Charme kann man ich sehr gut erholen. Das Dorf bietet alle was man braucht wie z. B. Bäcker, Supermarkt, Post und Restaurants. Egal ob Strand oder Stadt oder Kultur. Alles ist von hier gut zu erreichen. Check In und Check out und Kommunikation vor Ort funktionieren super.

Beautiful home in quintessential French village

This is a beautiful home and we loved our time here. The village square is a 2 minute walk down the street and it has everything you need. The Sunday markets are when the town comes alive and we had so much fun buying most of our groceries for the week. From the village it is easy to get to many sites and attractions. The home is very comfortable and we made dinner there most nights, the kitchen being very well equipped. The plunge pool is very cold and was a delight after long hot days sightseeing.

Charming Calvisson!

This light and airy gîte is very comfortable and well equipped for short or long stays, and the location is perfect for exploring mountains, beaches, medieval villages, vineyards, natural parks, and historic sites. We were a two couple group and found the gîte gave us plenty of privacy as well as spacious common areas. We loved the courtyard where we started our days with coffee and ended them with wine. I would highly recommend this property...unless you are physically challenged and are in need of a one level rental.
