The house was generous with everything will set up inside. Many nice towels, good beds, dishwasher and washing machine. Good Internet All the living areas were attractive, including a very nice sitting out area, and the weather was kind as well! Jerome brought us croissants and pastries on our first morning there, which really capped it off. whilst the property is in the country it is just on the edge of b”Bayeux making visits there easy for sightseeing and eating at the many excellent restaurant and it was also close to many of the beach landing museums. We only have good things to say about our stay there.
We had a lovely stay at Maison de Campagne. Jerome and Veronique met us on arrival and were lovely hosts. On the first morning we were left bread and pastries, and along with fresh orange juice left in the fridge, we had a delicious breakfast. The cottage was beautifully clean, warm and comfortable with all the equipment we needed. We found the location excellent for touring the sights of Normandy; we had a particular interest in seeing the WW2 sites such as Pégasus Bridge, the beaches, Longues-sur-Mer battery and Pointe de Hoc and it was easy to access these. We also spent a day in Bayeux to see the Tapestry and take in the sights. We were only a 5 minute drive from a local boulangerie for fresh bread every day and there is a large Carrefour less than 10 minutes driving away to stock up on provisions. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Hopefully we will be back at some point! Thank you Jerome and Veronique.
The Country House came "as advertised". A great place to stay for our party of six adults. Very comfortable, very well equipped and in a great "country" location. Additionally, the owners (Jerome and Veronique) were excellent to communicate with and also left us with breakfast at our door on the first morning of our stay . . . tres bien indeed. A truly wonderful place that fit our needs completely. Merci beaucoup a Jerome et Veronique.
Very pleased with the accommodation. Clean and well equipped. Large garden for children to play safely in and not annoy any neighbours. Owners communicated well and although live next door not intrusive, but felt if anything was needed they would be more than willing to help. We enjoyed the location in this quiet hamlet, but only minutes by car to bakery and supermarket.
Tolles gut eingerichtetes Haus. Viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der näheren Umgebung.

This is a lovely accommodation with gracious hosts. The spacious first-floor kitchen and living room offered plenty of space for a family of five, and our three children enjoyed playing in the large yard. The property's central location is perfect for exploring Bayeux, the D-Day beaches, and nearby villages. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Only a short distance to Bayeux (5 minutes drive), but very secluded and peaceful.
Easy access to all the main places of interest in the area.
The cottage had all we needed to make our stay comfortable, with all of the rooms being a decent size for their purpose.
Would recommend the cottage and the owners, who provided us with pastries and french stick the first morning, to anyone wanting to visit the area
We loved our stay! Everything was perfect and comfy. We enjoyed family time nestled in a quiet French cottage which served as our homebase for exploring Normandy. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook some meals and even wash clothes. Jerome and Veronique were so nice and left some juice, water, coffee and pastries. We would definitely stay again if given the opportunity. Oh, I also loved birdwatching in the huge backyard. It was so soothing.
Erg fijn.
We enjoyed our peaceful stay for 4 nights exploring the D Day landing sites of Normandy. The property was clean, hosts were welcoming and it was extremely well equipped to a high standard with anything you may need during your stay. We particularly enjoyed the log burning fire and Jerome kindly provided more firewood when needed. We also appreciated the bread, pastries, coffee and orange juice provided by the hosts.
Very nice home, clean and quiet.
The country road to get there was not in a great shape it was raining heavily during our stay so the road was very muddy.
Had a problem with no hot water when we arrived but it was rectified quickly.
Very nice owner.
Truly exceptional property in a wonderful location
Fantastic ,spotlessly clean, well-appointed house in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location about 4km from Bayeux and a 10 min drive from Arromanches.
A warm welcome awaits all who stay here.
Lovely touches from host Jérôme - provisions in the fridge when we arrived, thoughtful patisserie delivery on the first morning whilst we were still getting to know the area.
A lot of thought has gone into making this place a home-from-home; it’s a cool old place which has been renovated to a high standard with bags of style. It was warm when we were there, but the thick stone walls kept us nice and cool and I bet it’s really snug in the winter.
The kitchen is incredibly well-appointed and served us well for our breakfasts (Norman bacon is a must-try if you’re that way inclined) but we chose to eat out every night in nearby Bayeux which is a gastronomic delight. One of Jérôme’s recommendations “La Rapiere” became a go-to not just because of the food which was sublime, but because of the welcome afforded by proprietors Linda and Simon.
We’ll all be back - Normandie is beautiful and welcoming, but our home while we were there was the star of the show.
