Horrible communication with host
When we first booked this property there was an error in the price of the booking. And that's understandable - stuff happens. However, instead of refunding our deposit the host spent the whole week negotiating, saying a refund was processed, then changing his mind, back and forth, and all with no resolution. Then, on the morning we were supposed to arrive, the host cancelled our stay...and still without refunding our deposit. So I really don't know how the property itself is, but the host was especially difficult to work with.

SPECTACULAR
Start with the drive in, you think you are in the wrong area, but when you arrive, the view in person is better than the picture in the description of the property. Homey, inviting, relaxing, mesmerizing views. If you are going for vacation, this time of year was just sheer BLISS. If you are looking at this property, do not pass it by. The property owner even checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay and if there was anything we needed. So gracious. Not going into too much detail, David went above and beyond for a request we had, as I was visiting my daughter that I had not seen in 2+ years. We are not letting anymore time go by, we are already planning for another visit to see my daughter in 2 months, if given the opportunity, we know where we will be staying. Need to mention, my daughter has a large service dog, weight not an issue with the owner. If I may just add a personal note to others; a service animal is a vital part to a veteran, disabled person, blind, etc., please do not use your "family animal" claiming a service animal just so you can take them on vacation. A service animal has specialized training, if your animal is on the furniture, it is a family pet. Other than my rant, this home is an A+.

About the host

Hosted by owner/property manager

Host profile image
When there are no guests booked, the owner occasionally enjoys the home when he is in Seattle area. He spends a lot of time in the Coachella Valley, in the Southern California desert and travels for work all around the State of Washington. To make sure you have all needs met, Paige , a local to Browns Point and full-time resident is the touch- base manager who will be overseeing your stay.

Why they chose this property

You will get a lot more for your money and enjoy privacy and quiet. It is "off the beaten track" of "Seattle proper" the back southern door into the City: of Seattle and Tacoma. It is a quiet beach town community... yet so close if you need a large shopping mall..( " and traffic of Federal Way) The neighborhood is very safe for walking and exploring ..Browns Point is a place you will want to come back to to "re-charge".

What makes this property unique

The home has a view that is unsurpassed. It faces to the west and watches the Seattle weather approach from the SW. It is quiet with two decks with views and a mature gorgeous yard "meant for strolling", You can walk to the small community shopping center just down the street. The iconic "Cliff House" restaurant is also within walking distance for superb views of Commencement Bay, Tacoma to the South and Mt. Rainier to the SE.
