John has a great house and we really enjoyed our stay. It was a great location for everything we wanted to see and do. John was a great host, and he was very informative about the local area.

) I provide a Binder full of Activities in the Flathead Valley .
) We appreciate your Peace + Privacy !
) Upon Booking , tell us the Type of Wine we can leave in the Frig.
John's "cabin" is more luxury Montana living than a cabin. Think Ponderosa-style. Spacious rooms, huge closets, extremely comfortable and the best views you can imagine. Wildlife abounds and the whole place - inside and out - is set up for a great time. Plus, John is a cordial and thoughtful host.

I always enjoy seeing Guests invite their Family - joining in making memories in the Flathead Valley, and in the " Cabin" - Tom + Louise were great Guest and Welcome anytime !
Million dollar view and unbelievable home and surroundings
We were there 34 days and every day was magnificent. Not only is the view to die for, but the house and furnishings are upscale, charming and quite comfortable. The whole package is exactly what we had hoped for in a Montana vacation. The fact that the home owner built this magnificent structure with his own two hands left us flabbergasted. You must experience it to believe it. Also, John was the perfect host. He checked regularly to see if we needed anything and if so, saw to it immediately.
The Somers, Kalispell, Whitefish area has plenty to offer...not to speak of Flathead Lake and nearby Glacier National Park. Whatever your interest, it is there.

Joe and Murel were Awesome Guest - always glued to that View and sprawling Deck ! Particularly enjoyed their weaving Family members in all Month , from all around the Nation ; all were able to take in the Sites and enjoy the "Hand-Crafted Cabin ". I enjoyed their Conversation with the brief moments spent together , and the last Glass of Wine !
They are Welcome anytime !
To say this property was beautiful would be an understatement. Designed by mastercraftsman and owner, John-we could see his pride in all that he had done. It would be the perfect family get away to stay trapped in if you were snowed in! So much room and such nice and beautiful amenities. Our plans were to go to Glacier Park most days which was maybe 45 minutes away and to fish on Flathead Lake a couple of the other days so it was a perfect sendoff area for our needs. While the drive to the top of the mountain was a little rough at times, it was well worth the beautiful overlook and lovely place to stay. Our truck had no problems getting there. :) We also enjoyed all of the wild deer and the pretty horses we passed each day going up and down the mountain in the morning and evening. There were often deer right outside our door! The cabin was gorgeous and the deck was fantastic as well.
Beatutiful, Large home with a view/Exceptional Value!
What a beautiful home & CLEAN!!! We had a wonderful vacation with our family. The back porch was HUGE and perfect for our 3 year old to ride her trike!
This large home will be perfect for your family it is listed at such a great price too!

Beautiful, cozy cabin for a visit to Blacktail Mountain
My family and I needed a place to stay was close to Blacktail mountain for skiing. John's cabin was a great spot - about 50 minutes to drive to Blacktail in poor road conditions. In better road conditions, I'm sure you could cut that time down a lot. As you drive to the mountain, you'll notice there's not many places to stay that would cut down the drive time to the mountain. It's the closest you're really going to get.
Plus, once you see his cabin, you'll understand why you wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The view is amazing - you can see flathead lake and the range behind it from the livingroom window. John's cabin is impressive - it's a work of art. The cabin seemed larger to me in person that it did via the photos. It stays as warm as you would like it to be and has all the amenities one would need. We cooked all our meals there. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. There are plenty of linens, extra blankets and pillows.
Overall a great stay at John's place!

Why they chose this property
Private and Peaceful !
What makes this property unique
It's Roof Structure is a Full- Hip w/ Logs , very unusual w/ 200 + Logs in the Air . The Common Cabin has a simple Gable Roof ( 2 - slopes to Ridge ) ; however a Full- Hip is more complicated w/ Hip Rafters at a 45 * from the Diag. Corners !
