Plouescat: Typical Breton house with large garden
A true haven of peace, our house is nestled in the heart of nature, on an area of over 7,000 m², with no overlooking neighbours. Located in the coastal town of Plounévez-Lochrist, just a 1 km walk from the magnificent Kernic Bay, via farm roads, and 3 km from the beaches of Kéremma (in the heart of a Natura 2000 area), among the most beautiful in Finistère. Near the seaside resort of Plouescat, between Roscoff and Les Abers, you will discover a wild, invigorating, and vibrant natural setting.
This large, bright and spacious Breton house, built on the site of an old mill and tastefully decorated, can accommodate up to 10 people. You will find:
On the ground floor: A large living room with a wood-burning stove, sofa, several armchairs, and a large table for 10 people, a spacious and very well-equipped kitchen (large refrigerator, microwave, filter and Nespresso coffee machines, toaster, dishwasher, induction hob), 1 bedroom with a wardrobe and a queen-size bed, 1 separate toilet, 1 bathroom with a sink and shower.
On the first floor, 2 bedrooms with a wardrobe and a queen-size bed, 1 bedroom with a closet and wardrobe, a queen-size bed and a single bed, a bathroom with a bathtub and two sinks. The 4 bedrooms are tastefully furnished and decorated with new, high-quality bedding.
On the second floor, a dormitory furnished with modular children's beds. In the basement, a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, and table-top freezer.
Wi-Fi and firewood are free.
Outside: Direct access to a large 25m² terrace from the living room. It is equipped with garden furniture, deck chairs, and a barbecue.
Bed linen rentals are available upon request.
For walkers, various hiking trails crisscross the town's lush valleys leading to the sea (one of them passes in front of the cottage). You can also explore the GR 34 coastal path, which follows the path for hiking or simply for a stroll. You will find detailed information on the hiking trails in our cottage.
For water sports, the Plouescat nautical center offers sailing, catamaran sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, sand yachting, and more.
For visits to remarkable sites, don't miss: the parish enclosure circuit, the Château de Kerjean, or the former Cordeliers convent in Landerneau where very beautiful exhibitions are regularly organized. The Ménéham site with its breathtaking view, will allow you to discover a hamlet of old restored thatched cottages facing the sea. On the island of Batz and in Roscoff, you will discover the exotic gardens. A little further, visit Océanopolis in Brest and its incomparable marine fauna.
