Luxury Apartment in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace with large private terrace.

Luxury first floor apartment nestled in the heart of the ancient Roman Diocletian's palace. The apartment has 2/3 generously proportioned double bedrooms, large living and dining area, 3 spacious bathrooms and a large private terrace. Please note that the third bedroom doubles up as the sitting room and the bed is a sofa bed. The apartment offers all conveniences including, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, cable. TV with English movie channel, good Wi Fi connection, BBQ facilities and mounted hairdriers in each bathroom. We also have international power and usb sockets in each bedroom, as well as the dining room. Babysitting facilities and welcome packs can be arranged on request. Diocletian’s Palace is a pedestrianised zone, which means that car parking is a short walk away. There is a choice between paid and free parking, although free parking is slightly further away.The property can be reached by taxi or coach from Split airport which takes about 30 mins or why not allow us to arrange a private pick up from the airport for the same price as a taxi - we use Gecko tours, an excellent local tour operator who also offers a discount on many local tours (bespoke or advertised) for Prisca guests.

NB. Please note - this apartment is for a maximum of 6 people and unauthorised accommodation of any further guests will risk further charges.

The hosts were amazing! We had some family issues prior to our trip and they were very sympathetic and accommodating. The property managers, Baldo and Nickolina, were beyond gracious. They were very communicative. Baldo arranged transportation to and from the airport and gave us lots of recommendations of things to do and restaurants to try. All were spot on!

Extraordinary!Everything about our stay surpassed expectations! This apartment is so beautiful and spacious in a charming central location in Diocletian’s Palace. Baldo our host really added so much to our stay. He picked us up from the airport and provided much historical and current info on Split during the ride and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. He was incredibly responsive to any questions or requests. The apartment was supplied with everything we needed, and it was cool, comfortable, and quiet (also having 3 large bathrooms for 5 of us was such a plus!) The terrace was such an added bonus. We started every morning there (with breakfast and coffee from coffee shop a minute away) and ended most evenings there just recapping the day. Our 4-night visit is one our family will never forget due to the location (being within the palace walls was incredible), the lovely apartment, and Baldo making us feel like we were in our home away from home. I can’t say enough about our visit and would love to return soon!

We spent 4 nights at this beautiful apartment which is spacious and very well equipped- very comfortable bedrooms and wonderful bathrooms.It was great to have the outdoor terrace. Excellent location in the heart of the old town. It was never noisy and the apartment was always peaceful and cool.Baldo the host provided lots of useful information when we arrived which we greatly appreciated.We thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Location inside the old city is amazing. Property managers Baldo and Nikolina contacted us ahead of visit and we arranged to have Baldo pick up each couple at the airport. They were SO helpful, nice and responsive. Great restaurant recommendations. In fact Baldo arranged a tour of Krka national park and Sibonik when our boat trip was cancelled due to wind. Can’t thank them enough. Also, property is clean, spacious and safe. Great rental.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Split. The property was as indicated and was clean and well maintained as well as in a great location. This property was convenient to everything! The hosts, Baldo and Nikolino, couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive! They were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, including a free parking spot just a few blocks away. We are a British family who first invested in a waterfront fisherman's cottage on the island of Brac(property no. 55026) in 2004 and fell in love with Croatia's wonderful landscapes, people and food. In 2013 we felt it was time to make a second purchase in this beautiful, historic centre of Split and were fortunate enough to find this very special property. In April 2014, we completed the project and are pleased to make this lovely apartment available for others to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

It's a perfectly positioned, spacious apartment with its own very rare, private terrace in the historic Diocletian's Palace. The apartment offers access to a beautiful coastline, a great deal of Roman history and many excellent restaurants, cafés and shops. Even the local supermarket is a site of historical interest. There is an amazing fish and vegetable market a short walk away, as well as an abundance of bakeries for your freshly baked, daily loaf! Why not enjoy a two stop holiday in Croatia by booking some time in our Brac island property, no. 55026

What makes this property unique

We were instantly attracted to this wonderful apartment by the high ceilinged, generously proportioned rooms and private terrace all set within a site of Roman antiquity and so perfectly located for enjoying all the delights Split has to offer. We now feel able to offer a two stop holiday experience of Croatia by offering potential visitors the opportunity to enjoy the hustle and bustle city experience in addition to the beauty and relaxation on the island of Brac - see property no. 55026 for more details.Also, in 2015 we partnered with a Split based excursion company which runs a variety of professional tours in Dalmatia to suit all tastes. Their focus is on the smaller group authentic Dalmatian tour experience, which is of a very high standard. Guests of Prisca will receive a discount of the listed price of all tours.
