I wish we could have been there more than 2 nights to enjoy the outdoors. Hosts are friendly, helpful and easy to reach if needed. The lodge is clean and comfortable.
This is a great place to stay for families. So much right on the property- hiking, open spaces, awesome views, farm animals, fish pond, trampoline, games. well appointed kitchen for us to prepare a holiday dinner. We will definitely consider staying again.
What a wonderful and cozy spot! Quiet, calm, and super comfy. Great view, comfy bed, and well appointed kitchen. I wish we had time to explore the property! Highly recommend!
Everything was perfect! We loved the “Mallory Homestead Manual”, not only did it break down the rules of the house, but also listed things to do and places to go! The roosters weren’t a bother in the early mornings :). An all around great stay!
Beautiful property, lots of area to walk around, small trails too. Even a little fairy trail. And an absolutely gorgeous view! The Lodge is very neat and really clean. This is our second stay here and hoping to come back next year. And we do love the chickens wandering around the property :)
We were looking for a clean and restful place for a mini vacation and this place fit the bill. Enjoyed the view, the walk to the waterfalls and the jacuzzi. Needed help to start the pellet stove and the owner came right over and we stayed warm and toasty.
We stayed for a graduation from the University, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the quiet during a very hectic weekend. The owners have thought of just about everything you could want to do during a country weekend!
This place was beautiful. It was out of town so it didn’t feel like we were cramped in the city but only 20 minutes from all the food and shopping. We live in the country so it felt like home away from home. Unfortunately my whole family got sick day 2 there so we didn’t get to enjoy the trails.
A very nice lodge on a large property. Probably 1000 feet back from the road it is private and quiet. The owners raise free range chickens that will run happily to you if you decide to feed them. There are fresh eggs in your rental and honey from their bees.
All I can say is WOW!!! Took our 2 grandkids upstate for a 3 day get away before school starts. We all loved it!!! Beautiful inside & outside!Beautiful inside &
The lodge is well furnished and well stocked. It is beautiful and the grounds are beautiful. It is very peaceful here. A wonderful escape from the city life. And, it's still close to major shopping outlets and towns. The hosts are generous, welcoming you with fresh eggs. They respond immediately to all your questions/needs. I highly recommend you stay here
It was a nice getaway for a couple. The property owners responded quickly when we did need to reached out to them with questions.
My only concern was walking from the parking to the door as you have to walk around to the back of the building, over the yard, and was very muddy while we were there. That being said, we would still consider going back.
The lodge was quaint and cozy, the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. It was clean and had everything you could possibly need for a short vacation, including a jacuzzi tub! The surrounding property was gorgeous with several fun and short hikes that we partook in to get out and enjoy the nature. Matt and Kristy were great hosts and helped with anything we needed, including purchasing more free-range eggs! There is also a supermarket just 10 minutes down the road so there is plenty of easy access to food. If you stay here, I would recommend bringing your own pillows, though that is a personal preference, of course. Thank you for such a wonderful stay :)
We stayed there with my adult children. We all travel frequently for work yet none of us had every stayed in a more inviting and beautiful home as the Country Lodge. It was large enough for us all to have privacy, to have space for cooking, playing games, working out, reading and knitting in front of the fireplace. We also enjoyed walking in their woods to the waterfall in the early evening as the snow gently fell. Then coming home to the warm inviting space the hosts provided us. Our mission was to see the waterfalls in the state parks of the area. they were amazing. Definitely worth the trip, and the peaceful snowy trek up and down mountain paths. An inspiring way to start the new year. We all arrived at different times from different location and the proximity to the Syracuse airport (20 minutes) was extremely helpful. We look forward to returning and thank the hosts for all their courtesy and attention to detail for us to have a memorable time together (We also thank them for the fresh eggs and honey, produced on their land.)
My flight was delayed and I had a change in plans so I was only able to enjoy this property for 1 night but I would be happy to return. It was exceptionally clean throughout and well furnished. The view from the main living area is so peaceful and lush. I enjoyed the tub in the main bedroom after a long day. The central air worked well which is a bit unique in upstate NY where most rentals only have a window unit or no AC. I have no complaints and would recommend. This is clearly a well cared for property.
There is absolutely nothing negative I can say. From the time I booked to the time I left this was the best experience I've had yet. Constant quick contact if needed. Cleanliness the best .They had extra stock if you forgot anything like toothbrush, (I DID) toothpaste,razors...... A Keurig with coffee pods, tea, creamer and FRESH honey. Hiking trails ,pond ,creek..... I needed this place because it was close to my daughter's wedding venue and all the running back and forth it was necessary to be super close.
