Absolutely amazing !! Our host Fernando was by far one of the best !! We have been coming to San Carlos every summer for the past 6 yrs we will def be coming back !! Our condo had everything we needed !! I felt safe !! This condo in particular its location is amazing as we get the ocean view and the pool! Beds and pillows are so comfy ! The kitchen has everything you need, !!
The location is wonderful and the condo is situated right in front of the beach and near the pool. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. The kitchen was well appointed and there were just enough towels for everyone. The only things I would suggest is maybe some newer bedding in some of the rooms and some mats for the bathroom and sliding door.
We found almost everything to be as advertised. One of the kitchen cabinet doors was broken, hinge not attached inside cabinets. The TV remote would not allow adjusting the volume. Two fairly small but annoying items. Overall our stay was great and would book there again.
The ad stated a bunk bed was in one of the rooms but it was a trendle bed for any future residents. Also.. there was Ants everywhere on the kitchen counter & the couch. (pepper around edges seemed to help)
HOWEVER. Regardless, this stay was truly, very peaceful when at the resort, in the pool, on the beach, all the workers around and the guests who stay were all so nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here! I will be back no matter the ants 🙂
Great location. Only issue was lack of paper products and things like dish/dishwasher soap/trash bags. And lack of communication when there were issues like a power outage and short water outage. Had to ask other guests for information. Eventually, there would be an occasional email. Also, it would be nice for current rules to be provided. And there does need to be some small upkeep in the unit done. But it was clean, views are fantastic.
Perfect location, but everything inside was lacking. Uncomfortable trundle bed, no outdoor furniture except a wicker thing and two broken lounge chairs,horrible pans for cooking, no basic supplies of dish soap, garbage bag, coffee, foil,no pool or beach towels, unusable grill. Good thing it was only five days or would have had to purchase toilet paper and paper towels as well. First time we’ve seen this, and we rent several times a year.

Regarding the toilet paper,
we do provide 2 toilet paper for each bathroom, and one paper roll for the kitchen, a dish soap for the dishwasher, an a different dish soap, if the guest doesn"t want to use the dishwasher, they were under the sink ( Cascade , a green bottle ) and the other one was a Mexican brand AXION, and also was another one on the shelves above the washing machines.
We do provide enough towels in each bathroom for the 6 people that are allowed into the condo, we also provide a coffee maker and filters.
But , you are right when you mention, that we do not provide coffee, foil , pool or beach towels, but we dind"t offer that on the information we provide on this site.
We used to have beach chairs, and pool or beach towels on the condo, even a beach tent, but several times we had to be replacing those, because some guests took them from the condo, so I decided 4 years ago no to have those items.
Regarding the outdoor furniture, The Condo does have a wicker table with shells , and 4 chairs that are outside, if you don"t like it is another thing.
And I don"t think it is fair that you are surprised, because there is a picture on this site with that table and chairs
Same thing with the trundle bed, all the mattress on the condo are SEALY brand, and its the first time, after several years renting the Condo that somebody complaint of the beds, on the other side, I have lots of guests that tell me, that they love the confort of the beds.

And least, the pans, you said that are horrible pans for cooking, and it is the first time that somebody complaint of the pans, as matter of fact , the day before you arrived, we have guests leaving the condo, they stayed for one week, and they didn"t have any complaint, as a matter of fact, they are already planning to come back the first week of April, but following your complaint , I personally will check the pans , and if it is necessary , I will replace them at once.
I don"t understand you, you have my cell phone, we talk by phone twice the day that you arrived, I even help you, giving you the instructions to open the window of the main bedroom that you couldn"t open , and ask you if everything else was fine and you said yes, I don"t understand your complaint,
first of all, you reservation was supposed for 2 persons, and you show up with another 4 people, and that"s fine with me, the condo its for 6 people
and also, I don"t understand why you dind"t call me me, or sent me a mail to tell me that somebody from your group broke a small mirror on one of the bathrooms,
Again thank you for your review, and truly apologize for all the inconvenience, I take pride in my condo, and always try to have my guests happy and enjoying the Condo,
I will make sure that some of the issues that you mentioned are addressed , and hopefully I do have the opportunity to have you visit my condo again,

Pool was closed for repairs, had to listen to jackhammers all day while they worked on it. Owner should’ve warned us about this. Hot water wasn’t working upon arrival, but owner addressed this promptly. Zero sound insulation between our unit and unit above us, so had to deal with a lot of noise from upstairs. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Needs a tune up
As advertised, nice condo, good A/C and comfortable furnishings. On the downside, many light bulbs missing, broken coffee pot that gave a member of our party 2nd degree burns on his wrist, water doesn't drain from shower in second bathroom, and unsightly mold on wall in living room. All these problems could be fixed cheaply if someone made the effort. I have stayed at many condos in this facility and this one needs the most help...it was also the most expensive. Other condos in better shape can be rented for 10%-15% less.

Sorry for 2nd degree burns on the wrist on a member of your party and for any inconvenience it may have caused the coffee maker.
The coffee maker was already replaced with a new one.

You didn´t reported to me or the front desk, Any time there is an issue with anything on our property please let me know right away as I will turn in a maintenance repair and have it fixed immediately.
We had the interior of the condo repaired and painted last November so not sure why there is a unsightly mold on wall in living room and why the paint would be pealing but a I do know that the moist salt air is hard on paint.
The problem its already fixed, and the condo painted again.
Regarding that it was also the most expensive, and that there are condos that can be rented for 10%-!5% less
You know , because you said ¨ I have stayed at many condos at this location ¨ that those are condos not at the Golden Zone , not in front of the beach, not near the pool, thats why probably were cheaper .
The location of this condo, its on the Golden Zone, and it is in the best location of the Golden zone, 10 steps from the pool , 10 steps from the beach, has WI-FI, SKY , and cell phone signal, all the condos on the golden zone, are at the same price or even more expensive.
I take pride in my condo and will make sure that all maintenance issues are addressed and repaired. Again thank you very much for your review and hopefully that you had a good time in San Carlos. We hope that you visit our condo again
The location in the complex is perfect, but communication with the owner was very poor and there are a number of maintenance issues that need to be addressed.
I did not receive check-in information until I wrote the owner less than 24 hours before our arrival. The owner failed to tell us that only one vehicle is allowed in the parking lot, so we came with 2 vehicles and it was a huge hassle to force the guards to let both vehicles in. The owner also failed to inform the maids that we were going to be there for a week, so we had no extra toilet paper or trash bags, and had to go out and buy them. The internet failed on Thursday morning, but the router is in the owner's unit next door and no one is allowed to go in there to reset it. We contacted the owner about the problem on Friday morning, but did not receive a response until we had left for home on Saturday. The owner needs to have someone local available to take care of problems when he is not there!
In one bedroom the nightstand lamps did not work and there was only one dim bulb in the overhead light, making it difficult to find anything at night.
The other bedroom had only one nightstand and no dresser so everything other than hanging clothes had to be stored in another room. There were several burnt out light bulbs throughout the unit. The lint trap on the dryer was broken resulting in a clogged dryer outlet.
There was a grill on the patio, but it was so broken and rusted that it was unusable.

Regarding the issues that you mentioned,
First the parking lot, starting the summer 2021, the administration of the complex , started applying a new rule because of the high occupancy of the complex, an it is that only one car per condo can be parked inside the complex, sorry I didn't mentioned to you, but you didn't mentioned to me that you were bringing two vehicles, next time I will ask.
I did send you the check in information 1 day
before check in time, and that wat I actually do, send the information 1 day before the arrival day
Begging today, on new reservations I will send the check information as soon as the reservation it is confirmed
Regarding bedroom 2, you are right that doesn't have a dresser, and the reason it is because of the dimension oft the room, the only way to
accommodate a king size bed instead of a queen or a double bed, was to take out the dresser, and we decide to have a hanging closet instead ( decent size )with enough hangers,
Regarding the fuse bulbs and the dryer, I already took care of that issue, as matter of fact , every time that housekeeping does the cleaning of the Condo that have to report to the front desk tose kind of issues, and I Think It was a miscommunication between them, so they failed to report it to maintenance
Regarding the grill, that grill doesn't belong to the Condo, belong to other condo within the complex, the guest before you took it from other condo and left it there
I don't provide my unit with a grill, because all the time its a problem with it, people forget the coal inside, or they make a mess of the grill an the patio floor, so since 2015 I decided to remove the grill ,
I don't offer a grill in my Condo,
I cannot control if one guest go a borrow a grill from other condo, what I will do beginning today, is to tell housekeeping, that if that happen again, to remove the grill from my unit right away.
Regarding the toilet paper with provide the condo with 4 toilet papers, 2 for each bathroom ,and 1 kitchen paper roll,
Before, I used to have enough toilet paper, and sometimes I found out that packages of toilet papers a garbage bags disappeared .
Last but no least, the internet, I don't understand you, you had the problem on Thursday morning, I do have a question for you, Why did you wait until the following day to report it to me,
As soon as I received your message Friday noon,
I called the company that provide the service, and they told me that was not a router problem, that was a different problem a that they will try to do their best to fix it right away,
unfortunately you were living the following day ,
the problem was fixed that Saturday, later on the day

La propiedad esta excelente! La ubicacion muy buena: frente a la playa y a la sombra de las palmeras. La condicion del condomio es muy buena, los servicios de muy buena calidad: agua caliente, muy buen aire acondicionado. Estufa, refri, micro y cafetrea trabajan de lo mejor! Asi que no tendras problemas para preparar tus alimentos! Fernado nos contacto dos dias antes para darnos las instrucciones, y las indicaciones de como llegar al lugar y ademas de como lograr el registro de llegada y salida. Muy amable. Mi familia y yo quedamos muy satisfechos con el servico. Lo recomendamos ampliamente!
I can’t say enough about the location! Awesome. The condo was very nice with all aspects working well. There was a slight problem with the tv service, but Fernando was on top of it to repair it. We didn’t use it very much anyway. Very clean condo and Fernando contacted us a couple of times to make sure our stay was well, and should we need anything. Amazing condos there with the beach about 30 feet away and the pool literally 25 steps out the door. We will definitely be back. Thank you Fernando!
