Location, location, location! KC Castle is centrally located, just south of Downtown KC. Nestled in a neighborhood of historic and ultra modern homes. You can be anywhere downtown in less than five minutes. Think Old World charm meets downtown Loft. Designed to entertain inside (Chef's Kitchen) or outdoors. Huge fenced yard, amazing garden, and plenty of off-street parking. This remarkable home stands 3 and a half stories tall and has an open floor plan. From the third-floor cupula, you can actually see the Kansas City skyline.

Inside features an open floor plan, gourmet kitchen, large master suite, bedrooms 2 and 3 share a Hollywood bath. The finished lower level has a movie room and a 4th bedroom with bathroom en-suite. Upstairs, a spiral staircase leads to a kid's Loft bedroom (unofficially bedroom 5).

In order to accommodate our multi-generational families (in 2025) we have added a pull-out Queen sleeper sofa in the living room and converted the 1/2 bath on the main level to a full bath with a walk-in shower.

Outside there is a beautiful garden, large sun deck, private rear patio, and two balconies off the 2nd floor master suite. Not only is the huge yard fenced with wrought iron it has a nice playground. Making it the perfect place for your kids to safely play.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please SET the thermostat to SCHEDULE. This helps keep the electric bills manageable. Also, make sure double hung windows are closed. Top sash should be all the way up, then locked. Close the blinds,
Trash day is Tuesday. If checking out on a Monday, then please roll the bins x 2 to the street.
Please return the house key to the Lockbox. If having issues, clear the box w/the top center button. Re-enter the code, and then pull the box cover open. Please DO NOT take the house key with you.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
If checking out on sun, mon, tues, then PLEASE roll the trash bin (navy/gray lid) and recycle bin (navy/yellow lid) to the curb. TUESDAY TRASH DAY
The Booking guest must provide a valid Driver's license and sign the short-term rental agreement. In the agreement, please list all adult guests.
MUST return the Key to the lockbox at check-out. Place key flat against back inside of the box. If key gets wedged on box bottom, box will jam shut.

We searched and searched for a downtown loft. But, the prices /sq. ft. were just too high for an unfinished space. So, we found a city lot w/a skyline view and built a new home that looks like a downtown Loft on the first floor. That's why the floor plan is open w/ post and beam construction, just like the old River Market & West Bottoms Lofts. It is the best of both worlds, downtown living with a view and a 1/2 acre fenced in yard for the kids. Very quiet, safe and walkable Beacon Hill neighborhood. Lots of repurposed materials. Exterior stone was reclaimed from a 100+ year old Catholic church in Kansas City, that was demolished. Additionally the interior has exposed ceilings that are also constructed from reclaimed, old growth, T&G pine decking. The orange color of the wood is the natural patina, aged over 100+ years. The interior and exterior layout of this home makes it excellent for small family gatherings, wedding parties (not weddings), BBQ's, and all entertaining. We have enjoyed entertaining friends and family here for birthdays and holiday celebration. Starting in May of 2019, we will be sharing this amazing home with you and your family, so you too can enjoy making a new memory at what we affectionately call the KC Castle.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! Located just one exit south of Downtown. This home is less than one minute from the 22nd street exit off 71 hwy. You can be downtown to the Power & Light entertainment complex, Convention Center, Sprint Center, Midland Theatre, Kauffman performing arts center or anywhere else Downtown in less than 5 min. We are also in close proximity to great coffee shops, award winning restaurants and bars, grocery store, and all of the popular Downtown wedding venues. The neighborhood is very walkable and has additional community green space. If you want to stay in the hottest neighborhood in Downtown KC, Beacon Hill is where it's at! No disappointments!

What makes this property unique

Unbeatable location! Perfect for a family visiting KC who want to stay together and be centrally located. This home has four bedrooms plus the kid's Loft bedroom (BR 5). The master Suite has a king size bed. Bedrooms 2, 3, and 4 each have Queen beds and are en-suite. Please note: bedrooms 2 and 3 share a Hollywood/Jack and Jill bathroom. The kid's Loft bedroom is on the third floor and has a full size bed and a twin over full size bunk (3 total beds in kid's Loft). In total, the bed set up comfortably sleeps eight adults (four couples) plus 2-3 kids. Or, seven adults can each have their own bed.

Please respect the fact that this property is not an event space. It shall not be booked for weddings, parties, reunions, etc. We strictly enforce the guest policy. Failure to comply with our policy is grounds to terminate the reservation. Smoking, of any kind, is ONLY allowed outside. But, we have a back porch, front porch, shaded breakfast patio, sunny south side deck, and the master suite has a balcony.

Neighborhood is quiet, safe and walkable.
