The view was worth a million bucks, the home was very well stocked and clean. Had great communication with our host, Dean and no problems at all on arrival. We saw deer, raccoon, chippy munks, turkey and a bald eagle flying right past the front windows everyday. Great stay!
Spectacular view and great proximity to many areas we wanted to see. We were able to see Seals, Bald Eagle lots of deer a porcupine and a Ruffled Grouse.
We had a great stay! The views here were fantastic and the house was very clean. It was an easy drive into most of Acadia, but we had a hard time wanting to leave the adirondack chairs out back by the water.
The views were amazing, property was clean and well-stocked, and the location was perfect! I wish I was still drinking my coffee from those Adirondack chairs!
The view is fabulous - fog, rain, sunshine - the view is the best part of this house. Dean very responsive and helpful (thanks!) and sent very helpful information on the house and the area. Wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving.
We loved our stay at the Water’s Edge! There was plenty of space for us and our baby. It was especially nice to have the washer and dryer. You could comfortable fit 6 in this house! The view was amazing and we enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning. Thanks for a great stay!
The house is just as described - the location is stunning! Coffee in the morning outside on the deck- so relaxing and peaceful. Easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Quiet neighborhood. Gorgeous views. Highly recommend
Water’s Edge was the perfect stay for a perfect week. We arrived the day after Christmas Day’s snow and left the day after New Year Day’s snow. In between we rested in this charming home with sublime views or explored Acadia’s winter offerings on Mt Desert and Schoodic Point. Each morning presented a unique sunrise view from cozy seating arrayed around the large living room windows, perched over stone retaining walls. The home and kitchen had everything we needed plus extra amenities that we enjoyed and local recommendations that we followed. The Owner was thoughtful, inviting, and quick to respond to questions. He made a beautiful setting also a stay with ease. We highly recommend this home for your stay.
Incredible cottage, easily our favorite rental. Gorgeous way to experience Maine; our kids loved playing on the shore, kayaking with seals, and hanging out in the loft. It was a beautiful and restorative week.
One of my favorite rentals we have ever stayed! Amazing views every morning for sunrise. Enjoyed sitting and watching the wildlife from the deck and the shore. House is exactly as advertised. We kayaked the Bay and it was a very convienent location to explore Acadia and the surrounding areas without being right in the mess of all the people in Bar Harbor. Perfect for our family. Everyone loved it!
This is our second stay at Water's Edge. We love this house and the owners make sure that the property is well maintained, comfortable and welcoming. Watching the seals play in the bay from the patio was especialy fun. When we go back to Hancock Point, we will be staying here again!
This is an incredibly special place - we love Water’s Edge and Hancock Point! Morning walks on Jellison Cove Road, watching eagles and seals from the amazing decks, and enjoying access to all the wonders of Acadia without the crowds. Just The Best.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely! Honestly we love the house so much we spent half of our time just relaxing and enjoying the view. It’s a great place to take time to slow down which we don’t really get to do with our jobs.
Great views out the large windows. Amazing sunrises in the morning and great days to view the bay and surrounding islands, etc.Our stay was early in the year, April, so there wasn't a lot of traffic on land or in the bay, but we enjoyed it being nice and quiet for our vacation. Will likely try to find this place again for our next visit in a few years.
Wonderful property with awesome views. Very quiet place to sit back and relax. Owner communications were excellent. Place had everything we needed for our vacation.
If you are looking for a quiet place to rest this is one of the best houses I have ever rented. Also, the location is unbeatable if you want to visit Acadia National Park but don't want to suffer the crowds. The house is just as the pictures show, it has everything you need. Simple but very well equipped.Dean is a great host and willing to solve any problem.
