4* Quiet comfort at the foot of the Puy-de-Dôme World Heritage Parc Volcans Auvergne

Cottage labeled "Clévacances" 3 keys: the assurance of a high level of quality guaranteed by the Clévacances charter.
The cottage is located in the village of Solagnat at the heart of the perimeter of the "Chaine des Puys - Faille de Limagne", World Heritage of UNESCO, the Regional Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne and the Grand Site of France "Puy-de -Dôme "Hiking trails from the gîte, Puy-de-Dôme, Grand Site de France, 5 minutes by car, 30 minutes on foot. Vulcania at 10 km.
Solagnat: the countryside 10 minutes from the city center. Very quiet village because located at the end of a dead end. Only the few neighbors pass cautiously on the lane which runs along the garden. Twice a year, a nice village festival. All the residents, of which you are temporarily a member, gather around the plot or fountains to share the bread and dishes traditionally baked in the old village oven.
To reach the Royat-Chamalières thermal station (5 minutes) or the city center of Clermont Ferrand (10 minutes by car), you will take the pretty road to the Royat valley surrounded by woods and meadows where sheep and cows graze. I personally saw a chamois jump across the Tiretaine (stream born from the many springs gushing from the volcanic fonts (with the 't') from the foot of the Puy de Dôme!
The site does not make it possible to clearly indicate it in the "tariffs", I specify that the HEATING is in SUPPLEMENT of the tariffs indicated. In addition, a DEPOSIT of € 300 must be paid at the start of the stay.

Lovely quiet spot near Puy Du Dome

We booked this property prior to Covid in 2019 and we finally managed to arrive in September 2022. We were met by the owner, who speaks no English, but we managed to get by with the tour of the property. The property is in a lovely quiet village and is well laid out, and with everything you would need for your stay. The WiFi strength was excellent. We only used the one double room and that was very comfortable. The property has another double room and a single, so plenty of space. There is one bathroom and a separate WC which may be a problem for some but was no worries for us. There is a good outside space to the front which get the afternoon sun. Only gripe on my part is description says bedding provided, however a few days before our arrival we were told via email that sheets were €10 a pair (think this meant a sheet and quilt cover ) and towels were €5 each. We were also given the opportunity to have the property cleaned at the end of our stay for a further €70, surely this could have been clearly marked in the property description. I must admit we opted to pay €70 but the property was so easy to keep clean, and only took us minutes, that we wasted that money. Overall though, a great break, and we found out we were the 1st Brits to use the property.

Prachtig huis op een prachtige locatie

Het huis voldoet aan alle wensen. De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en heet je van harte welkom. Om activiteiten te ondernemen moet er wel een stukje gereden worden, maar dat vonden wij geen enkel probleem.

Traumhaft - Formidable

Die Unterkunft ist absolut empfehlenswert! Die Kommunikation mit Jean-Yves war total unkompliziert! Die Familie Cabal ist sehr sympathisch und total hilfsbereit. Haben viele der vorgeschlagenen Ausflugsziele gemacht! Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super gut: in 10min beim Puy-de-Dôme, in 15min in Clermont-Ferrand. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit sind super gut, 3 Schlafzimmer, tolles Bad, Waschmaschine und Trockner. Der Garten ist traumhaft und das Steinhaus in dem man wohnt hat so viel Charme! Die Lage ist super ruhig und entspannt. Im Sommer ist es im Schnitt 3-4 Grad kühler aufgrund der 400m höheren Lage als Clermont-Ferrand. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in Orcines (Carrefour-10min) oder Ceyrat (Intermarché-15min).Also: absolut empfehlenswert!Nous avons passé une semaine formidable. La maison est tres jolie et la famille Cabal est super sympa. Il nous manquerait rien!Pour commencer des randonnées, la location de la maison est parfait!Merci pour des vacances super agréables!

Excellent séjour en Auvergne

Maison conforme à la description, électroménager neuf, très fonctionnel. Idéal vacances familiales. C'est un gîte labellisé, pensé correctement et ça fait une grande différence. Très grande propreté à l'arrivée, on aurait pu manger par terre. chambres spacieuses et agréables Propriété au bout d'une impasse en pleine campagne, au pied du Puy de Dôme. Hyper silencieux, on n'entend que les oiseaux. C'était ce que nous recherchions. Tout est à 10 à 30 minutes max pour visites et randonnées sur les Puys. Merci à Jean-Yves pour son accueil et sa disponibilité

Un très beau gîte idéalement placé

Vacances entre copines. On a bien profité du barbecue (bois offert). Le propriétaire est très accueillant, le gîte vraiment très agréable. On peut rayonner sur de très nombreuses visites et randonnées, c'est juste parfait! Un excellent rapport qualité/prix en plus! Nous rentrons ravies!

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé 6 jours agréables. Le gîte est confortable, bien équipé et fonctionnel. Nous avons pu profiter du jardin pour que notre fille cherche ses chocolats de Pâques. L'emplacement est idéal pour une découverte des volcans et de Clermont Ferrand. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de Mr Cabal et plus globalement ce séjour pour déconnecter.

Maison très agréable, confortable et chaleureuse, très bien équipée. On s’y sent bien tout de suite! Et la vue dégagée est superbe. Elle est également très bien placée pour découvrir la région avec de très belles randonnées et de nombreuses visites aux alentours. Nous recommandons!

Calme, spacieux et reposant.

C'est la deuxième fois que nous séjournons une semaine dans cette maison à Solagnat et comme la première fois, nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre séjour. Les propriétaires nous ont accueilli très gentiment. Le logement est très agréable, très propre et proche de Clermont-Ferrand. L'endroit est particulièrement calme et reposant. Nous étions trois, mais on peut facilement loger à cinq et inviter des amis pour déjeuner grâce à la grande table du séjour, 8 à 10 personnes sans problème. L'ouverture entre la cuisine et le salon/salle à manger, qui n'existait pas l'année passée, donne encore plus d'espace et de lumière. C'est parfait. Nous reviendrons...

Location spacieuse très propre et très bien située entre Clermont Ferrand et le Puy de Dôme

Nous avons été très bien reçus, la location était très propre et spacieuse pour un couple et 2 enfants de moins de moins de 5 ans. Idéalement située au calme entre Clermont Ferrand et les différents Puy ( top pour les promenades dans les différents volcans). Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine de vacances en famille.
