About this property
House - Southern Hills Serene Getaway
Big Country was description from our 4 year old nephew. He lives in the city and enjoys our big open country. Other guests describe it as a million dollar view and it truly is. It is rare to find this seclusion, beauty and peacefulness. We have been blessed, and we want to share it with you.
This home offers feel of a lodge with Black Hills pine logs giving a warm cozy ambience. Visit and be amazed at the beauty, openness and serenity.
Bordering Black Hills National Forest, and Lady C Ranch forest area which borders Wind Cave National Park with quick access to Custer State Park. Picture windows and large patio areas to enjoy the quiet, scenery, seasonal wildlife, wide open sky with an abundance of stars. No artificial lights to interfere with your night views.
5 bedrooms -- 4 queen beds and 1 king bed. 1 queen bedroom with TV, king bedroom with TV. Bedding provided. Additional floor room in living room for air mattresses, pac and play for baby or toddler. Room darkening blinds in bedrooms.
Living area is a large open area with ample room for socializing. TV, recliners (7) and reclining sofa, fireplace, 2 large tables and chairs to play games, eat and socialize.
Total of 3 TV's in home. Fiber Internet connection, WiFi. Air conditioning.
Full roomy bath with tub/shower; another bathroom has walk-in handicapped shower with built-in bench. Another vanity/sink with large mirror in laundry room. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer provided.
Full kitchen with 36” refrigerator and an additional 33” refrigerator in adjoining pantry; Blackstone griddle, blender, coffee makers, toaster, griddle, instant pot, crock pot, large electric fry pan, cookware, dining ware, outdoor barbecue gas grill, utensils, towels.
We have additional parking for trailers. Storm Shelter on site.
For the allergy and smell sensitive -- We are original owners of this home (finished in 2012) and there has never been pets, smoking, or use of scented candles in this home. Nor has there been water damage, therefore no musty, moldy smells. Bedding and towels are washed with Tide Free.
The property borders Black Hills National Forest, therefore building a FIRE is NOT ALLOWED. Out of respect to other renters PETS and SMOKING are NOT ALLOWED.
Off Highway 385, aka Wind Cave Road, 4 miles North of historic beautiful Hot Springs in a beautiful quiet country setting/valley on several acres providing privacy, quiet and hiking.
Close and easy access to Custer State Park -- scenic Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake and several other beautiful lakes, Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, etc. Hot Springs visit Evans Plunge, Mammoth Site, Cold Brook Dam and historic beautiful Chautauqua Park; Cascade Falls, Angostura Lake, Badlands National Park, Buffalo Gap National Grasslands. Ideal location for quiet getaways. Enjoy the outdoors and wildlife in the Black Hills environment at its best.
Air hockey table, ping pong table, foosball, cornhole, basketball throw in attached garage.
We feel our location offers more than many other rentals in the Black Hills area. Our guests all have enjoyed this unique rental and have thanked us for making this available to rent. I guarantee all our guests enjoyed their stay and were amazed at the beauty and quiet.

We are South Dakotans and have called the beautiful Black Hills our home for nearly 40 years. We purchased this property in 2011. We enjoy every minute we can spend at this property. We hope our guests enjoy the beauty and serenity as much as we do.
When we brought the property, the house was already built, but unfinished. As you can see in bedrooms, the walls are constructed of concrete with logs inserted, therefore making the thick walls. The house stays cool in summer and warm in winter.

Why they chose this property
You will love the openness of our property and the openness of the home. Enjoying the nights on the large patio with wide open skies and abundance of stars is so peaceful. Hiking possibilities on our land to enjoy more amazing views.
What makes this property unique
For respect to our guests and future guests with allergy sensitivities, we do not allow pets or smoking.
Openness, secluded, beautiful views.
