About this property

The Cozy Owl Cottage - so close to so much

This sweet cottage is best suited for a single or couple wanting to relax and experience Dallas from a local perspective around White Rock Lake. So close to Downtown, Lower Greenville, Deep Ellum, Dallas Arboretum, NorthPark shopping and SMU. The cottage is local to so many experiences. Plus 5 minutes to any major highway. Stay in a quite neighborhood and relax.

We are about one mile from a Dart train station, for easy public transportation all around the city. It's a 15 minute walk to catch the Dart train. But if you head the other direction, it's about a 15 minute walk to White Rock Lake and you can spend the day not going anywhere. Just relax. Of course Uber and Lift are all over this area for your convenience. A very quick and inexpensive drive to almost all restaurants and experiences in Dallas.

The cottage has a kitchenette with a Keurig and K cups, toaster oven, microwave and refrigerator. Basics are provided such as S&P, sugar, Splenda, utensils, paper towels, baking dishes and microwave dishes. There is a Trane mini-split HVAC that is super quiet and adjustable for your perfect temperature. The queen bed is a Turf and Needle that sleeps comfortably, according to quests. The Rinnia tankless water heater provides an endless supply of hot water, but be aware it has to clear the water lines. There is driveway parking that we accommodate for each guest. Please enjoy, and let us know if there is anything else you need for your stay.

We really enjoyed our stay and Denise was very pleasant and a joy to deal with. The cottage was clean and comfortable and in a nice quiet neighborhood not far from White Rock Lake. We plan on staying there again.

Perfect place

The owl cottage is one of the best places I've stayed at. Communication with Denise was smooth and easy, and she was very quick to respond with any questions I might have had. The location is absolutely perfect, it's located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town.

Denise and Pat were great hosts, and this apartment was very comfortable. My partner had a medical procedure nearby and Denise went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable the entire stay. This is the experience that you hope for when you book a place through VRBO.

Awesome backyard cottage in a great location

Possibly the best appointed vacation rental I've ever stayed at. Located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with walking trails to White Rock Lake. It had everything I needed and a very comfortable bed. The layout is absutely perfect for 2 people. Denise is a great host. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Absolutely recommend.

Pat and Denise were super friendly and welcoming and met us at the door when we got there! The rental was the perfect size for 2 people and so close to so much. Almost every time we went somewhere, we it was less than a 15 minute drive. If we are ever back in Dallas we will definitely be back!

Great Stay in Dallas

Our hosts Denise and Pat were very accommodating and everything you need is provided within the cottage. The location is great in respect to being close to several parts of town. There is a transit line that runs behind the cottage, so if you are a light sleeper this may be an inconvenience. We were fine with it, it's not loud like a train they are fairly short. It was great to be able to walk out the door and walk to a trail system that has as many miles as you want to do for walking, running or biking. We would definitely stay here again:-)

Good location but for other reasons not a good fit for us

Central location, good communication and mostly comfortable inside. While the frequent trains didn’t wake us up at night they were too loud for online meetings and business calls during the day. The outside cigarette smoke would get inside and was too much for us. Had we known about this we wouldn’t of picked it.
