Great location

This is a large home in a great location and suited our needs well. The home could use some updating as it is starting to show wear and tear but nothing that should prevent someone from renting this house. Enjoyable stay with very close access to the private beach. Beach is in the process of being replenished with sand so will be bigger and better next year.

This was a perfect place for our family vacation & my mom’s 70th bday celebration! Michael was a great communicator and incredibly helpful every time I reached out! Based on the photos, I was a little concerned that the living space wouldn’t be open enough, but it turned out to be more open than it appeared. I felt like we got what we paid for and more! My favorite thing was that we were right at the beach access on a gorgeous beach. It made it easy to go back and forth. Being there over the 4th holiday, it was especially nice to have private beach access. There were chairs, boogie boards and sand toys available for use. The community was also very friendly and welcoming. Being close to point pleasant but not in the mix of things there, was also perfect for our family. Just plan ahead driving anywhere because the traffic gets busy in the summer. Remember to set up your linen rentals or bring your own. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the space as much as we did!

It's a nice house in a terrific location. We have rented properties all over and typically enjoy better amenities at this price point. Maybe the Jersey Shore market is just different than everywhere else. NO TOWELS or LINENS! The listing says these are included in several places. They are not. Luckily a prior review gave me the heads up, but I found out only two weeks before our trip. Bringing all our beach towels, bath towels, and sheets certainly changed the way we packed and the cars we broughtKitchen has the bare minimum of mediocre/bad equipment which makes cooking all meals challenging. Dishwasher is terrible. Really terrible. 50 gallon water heater is in an upstairs bedroom and is noisy, including through the nightThe beach chairs are in rough shape and weirdly stored in a challenging crawl space under the house. There are no umbrellas. There is an outdoor spigot but no hose to help wash thingsWe only had 8 of the 10 beach tags listed.Again, the location is outstanding and the house overall is quite nice but lacks standard items which was frustrating. Property manager was responsive.

Last minute cancellation

I would not recommend booking this property at any time. The communication and follow through was horrendous. When I did not receive check in instructions, I messaged the owner and did not hear back. When I called the next morning, he stated that he had not been able to open the house because of a family emergency but did not have the courtesy to call and let us know. We had people flying in for a family reunion from multiple states on a holiday weekend and had to search for a new property with 24 hours notice. If I had not called, we would have shown up to an unavailable house. The owner tried to say he was working on a different house but it had significantly less bedrooms and would not work. We then had to fight to get a refund despite him saying he had already processed it. When we contacted VRBO they said no request for a refund had been made.
