About this property

Taylor House, beautiful views of Lighthouse, Ocean and Brother Jonathan Park

I am a completely restored vacation rental with a wonderful location across the street from Brother Jonathan Park playground with ocean view. I am only 5 minutes from restaurants, breweries, supermarkets, drugstores, banks and more. 15 minutes to the Redwood Parks, beautiful Smith River and the Oregon Border.
I have one master bedroom with en suite bathroom plus one bedroom one bathroom and a sofa bed in the living room all queen size. The living room and the dining room acomodates 6 people very comfortable.
I am dog friendly. I have a large fenced, back yard, large redwood deck for BBQs, plus a greenhouse. From the front porch I can see the ocean and the Battery Point Lighthouse and you can sit and enjoy the amazing sunsets or just walk across the park to the sea view point where you can take the most beautiful pictures. I am a perfect place to watch the Fourth of July fireworks show.

Great place for children. Large front yard, very nice park/play ground /basketball court across the street. Kitchen had everything you needed. Overall just a very clean, relaxing house.

Property and location were great. The back yard and patio were actually really bad. None of the patio chairs were usable and the grass was infested with gophers and spiders. The house itself was perfect for us and our two Yorkies. The park across the street was nice. I recommend upgrading the lock system. The main entrance was key operated from a lock box. Basically anyone who had been there before could have made a copy of the key leaving them a very small chain from gaining access. I can guarantee that senior citizens like us would prefer a more robust (digital) system.

After a snag upon arrival with a guest that had actually booked the room for the same dates next year but had been allowed inside and unpacked, things were resolved and cleaned up for us while we went to dinner. The house itself was clean and well-stocked with the typical staples. I did have to reboot the router to get the internet to work, but it was plenty fast for what we needed. The master bathroom was spacious and beautiful with an incredible shower but the vanity did not have the lighting my wife needed to get ready.The house is in a great location to enjoy the sunset and walks to the beach. Also in great proximity to the redwoods, the tide pools, Smith River, sandy beaches and great hiking. We really enjoyed our stay at the Taylor House.

House was exactly as pictured and described. There was plenty of room and it is well stocked. It is close to the beach and very walkable. We would stay there again. We knew it had no air conditioning (common in the area but inconceivable to people from the southeast). When we first walked in, the house was very stuffy and I was worried we were going to be miserable. But with the windows open it didn’t take long to cool off and feel better. We had all the windows and sliders open during the day any time we were there. At night we didn’t want to keep the sliding doors open so we just used the provided fans and it was good.

We were 4 older women and a dog on a coast vacation. The house couldn't have been better situated or set up for our needs. We were impressed with the interior, the amenities...the space and backyard setup, and the parking. Close enough to Pebble Beach Dr to walk to the ocean. We want to go there again!

We had a great vacation at this home. The location was perfect—close to the coast and just a short drive to beautiful trails in the Redwood forest. The house was very clean, and we really appreciated the heating in every room, especially given the cooler weather during our stay.

Check-in was smoothe.This home is well-appointed and very comfortable. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook at home, plus extra spices. The beds are comfortable and plenty of extra blankets are available. It is very close to the cliff-top walk along the ocean; stunning. Communication with Maria was easy, with a quick response and solution.
