What a lovely country cabin!
We went for the eclipse and had a fantastic time. The cabin is exactly as pictured and advertised. It is surrounded by quiet forest with only one neighbor nearby. The back deck is ideal for hanging out with friends and enjoying the quiet. We would definitely go back!

Cozy spring break
The cabin was very clean and everything was just as described. I appreciated knowing in advance that the dishwasher was not working so we could stock up on paper goods. Debbie was very kind in her correspondence and I would recommend friends to stay at her property. The only thing that I was not prepared for was the traffic, it would have been nice to enjoy more peace and quiet. Overall our stay was great, thanks Debbie!

Great December getaway with family
We loved this cabin! It is located on the road, but it was easy for our minivan, there are lots of things to do close by, and Scenic 7 is a wonderful drive. The cabin was very clean and well-stocked. It was chilly outside but the central heater was working great. We appreciated all the towels and the kitchen supplies. We stayed with our 3 young kids and small dog. The loft upstairs was a nice way for us to spread out. The porch is fantastic and we could see the mountains since the trees had lost their leaves. There is a creek just a short walk behind the house. There are neighbors next door with two friendly fenced-in dogs and you share a parking lot. The front bedroom has the full bed and an exterior door with a lock only on the doorknob. For kid safety, we would have preferred a deadbolt at the top. We hiked several trails with our 5, 7, and 10 yo- Alum Cove and Fern Falls are close by and fairly short, Round Top trail was a bit longer, but great for mountain views and seeing Jasper from the top. There's also a WWII plane crash site and an Indian shelter on the trail. The Koen Interpretive trail is a quick but informative walk on the way to the Erbie campground north of Jasper. We spent several hours at Erbie hanging out by the Buffalo National River. We got up before dawn one morning and drove through Boxley Valley and Ponca looking for elk. We saw about 20 at the Steel Creek campground. Recommend Cliff House and Ozark Cafe! This area is just gorgeous.

Awesome cabin
We loved everything about the cabin. Very cute, comfortable, well equipped with everything we might need. The Fussballtable was great fun as well! Many great hikes nearby. It is right next to the highway, but it wasn’t a problem. Thank you for a great place to stay.

About the host

Hosted by Debbie Butler

Host profile image
We are Johnny and Debbie Butler from Texas. We love this area of Arkansas with the beautiful scenery and friendly people! We like riding our Harley on the winding roads through the countryside or ride our 4 wheeler on the many trails in the area. The Buffalo National River is 12 miles away for canoeing and rafting. There are many hiking trails taking you to caves, waterfalls, scenic views and much more to discover.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because we ride a Harley and this cabin is right on scenic Hwy 7 and we don't have to travel down a dirt /gravel road to get here - easy access.

What makes this property unique

The benefit for us is that the cabin is on Hwy 7 and most of the rentals in the area are on dirt/gravel roads. Inclement weather can be a problem when you are on a motorcycle, or just like a clean vehicle.
