This coastal duplex (upstairs unit) is a perfect vacation rental for large families, or two small families vacationing together. Two master bedrooms, two living rooms and two additional bedrooms all walking distance to the Del Mar beach, downtown Del Mar, the Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds.
With a jacuzzi, BBQ and patio everyone in your family will enjoy their stay.
The kitchen is newly remodeled with all state of the art appliances as is the laundry room.

Great property and excellent host

Janet was an excellent host and the house was great. The location is 1/2 block from the beach, in a very safe & nice neighborhood and the house was furnished with anything and everything we could need. We'll definitely stay here in the future!

Great Location, Beautiful Home

We spent most of our time at the beach. Del Mar beach is one of the nicest, cleanest beaches in the San Diego area. Great for families. Train Station is close by so we took the Coaster to San Diego Santa Fe Station and went to the Midway and Seaport Village.

Excellent Beach Stay for Family!

This place was great! The house is set up well for a large family or even 2 smaller families. Easily accommodated our family of 10....and the beach is a minute walk away, you can hear the tide at night! The owner is super personable and prompt to answer any questions during your stay. Her home is very organized (complete with beach towels, toys, chairs, wagon and boogie boards) and tidy. Loved our visit, we would definitely return!

This property was in the perfect location for being close to the ocean and shopping.. The house was large enough for the family to have enough personal space as well as communal space. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans etc which made cooking for 8 possible.. Janet was accommodating to our needs during our stay here. We will definitely come back here when our family gathers again.

Amazing stay!

Janet's place is clean, comfortable and spacious. Two huge living rooms with great TV's and lots of seating. Very comfortable beds and futon. Great set up for a couple of families. Modern, extremely well stocked kitchen. Couldn't have asked for a better stay across the street from the beautiful Del Mar beach.

Del Mar family getaway

Great location for a winter getaway! This home worked well for the three families in our group—including 4 young children. Plenty of sleeping spots and places to play in home. We liked that it was one block from beautiful sandy beach in a quiet area. We also appreciated having a garage spot and extras like step stools, many beach towels and bogey boards. We had wonderful week together.

Love Del Mar

Our family stayed for Thanksgiving week and connected with local family members. The home with two living rooms was ideal for our needs, Janet was awesome communicator, coming by the day after we checked in to show us highlights of the home. We were all happy campers.

Visited Del Mar for the horse racing with friends for a week. The place was great and met our needs perfectly. Janet met us for check in and have your if the house. They also own a great restaurant named Ki’s that I would highly recommend! Great food and great service!

Just great!

This was a great experience. We have been renting beach houses for over 30 years. Proximity to the sand has always been our priority. But in this case, it was an added plus to have a home that was cared for and tended to by it’s owner as more than just a rental. By this I mean, comfortable beds, great kitchen supplies and TLC. It is a place we plan on returning to again and again.

Beautiful house in a great location

We loved our stay! The house is just a few minutes from the beach - it couldn’t be more convenient. It is well-stocked, as far as beach supplies, and the kitchen was complete with modern appliances. It is spacious enough to have multiple people without having to worry about there not being a bathroom for someone to use. Would recommend to any family looking for a beach trip.

Janet’s house in Del Mar was perfect for our family. 6 adults, 1 teen, 1 infant. Very spacious and clean. Had everything we needed plus more. Janet is a gracious host and so easy to communicate with. Very close to easy beach access! Beach is very clean! There is a dog beach & dog park within walking distance. Love the Del Mar area!

Beautiful Place a Short Walk from the Beach

This place was fantastic -- maybe better than the pictures show. First, note that this a duplex. For this rental, you get the entire second floor. The owner or owner’s family lives on the first floor. The place is very beautiful with lots of great comfort items: great wood-looking floors, very comfortable leather recliners, multiple big screen TVs, fully stocked kitchen with modern cooking supplies, modern washer/dryer, a large balcony with a dining table and sitting area, and a beautiful hot-tub on the ground floor outside. There is probably even more than I’m not thinking of. It’s much nicer than most VRBOs that I have stayed at. Janet, the owner, was extremely nice and extremely helpful. She even tracked down a few extra items that we needed. And, most importantly, the beach is only a block away. This place is really a steal for the price.
