About this property

Rustic country log cabin at Culver Lake.​

Our cabin nestled in the woods with a screened in porch that makes you feel you are in a tree house. From the screened in porch there is a winter view of our 555 acre lake. Enjoy pristine waters of Culver Lakes private community. Although this cottage is not lake front, you have a private dock with use of canoe, rowboat and 2 kayaks included in your rental. Great spot for fishing, no gear provided. 16+ license required. Located just across the lake is our community sandy beach with great swimming, food, ice cream and games. This is an excellent place for the kids. Life guards are on duty. Seasonal activities summer/fall/winter. Close to water parks, youth theme park, zoo and museum, hiking trails, zip lining and more. Linens provided for a family of 6 or bring your own for an easy check out. Great place for a relaxing, fun filled vacation. Appalachian trail nearby, excellent waterfalls, hiking and biking. We are right next to Stokes State Forest. $300.00 damage control security deposit required, refundable within 7 days of your departure via mail. No Smoking/no pets.

Summer is weekly only. Your lake rights are included in your weekly rental. Any rental that is less than 7 days will have an additional $40 charge for lake access badges.

Country Log Cabin: This log cabin was built in l925 and is listed in the Historical Society. It has cathedral ceilings, stone fireplace and lots of 'old world' charm. It has been fully restored with cabin charm and is clean and comfortable. The large screened in porch off the living room is a great place to relax, play cards, enjoy a meal or a good book. Below that we have added a new room with trundle bed and a washer/dryer. View of 555 acre lake from Upper North Shore Road which backs Stokes State Forest. Internet, cable TV with VCR/DVD player is there for your enjoyment and a charcoal grill is provided without charcoal. Private dock 5 minutes away with canoe, 2 kayaks and row boat for your use. Sandy beach with swing set as mentioned above, several golf courses within 15 minutes of the cabin. Affordable family restaurants close by. Easy food shopping 1 mile away. Wal-mart shopping area a 15 minute drive from the cabin with Staples, Models, Marshals, Home Goods and many more. 4 beach chairs provided. Life jackets not provided for infants/young children. NO CANDLES PLEASE.

Culver Lake: Culver Lake is a clean spring fed natural lake nestled in the Kittatinny mountains. We are neighbored by Stokes State Forest which helps to keep our private lake community filled with an abundance of wild life to enjoy including the great Bald Eagle. Fishing is enjoyed my many, license required. Our mornings on the water are uplifting and our sunsets are peaceful and magnificent. Come enjoy sitting on our sandy beach and soak up the sun or sit under a shady tree enjoy the summer breeze. Our clean water is inviting to swim in and diving board is great fun for all.

This cabin was built in 1925 by a member of the Disney family and it was used as a hunting lodge for his friends. There are several cabins, none the same, scattered in the area around the mother house across the street. This house is a member of the Historical Society and we cherish its welcoming charm.

When we saw this property, we knew we had to own it. It is so charming and cozy, not to mention it is part of Culver Lake and all it has to offer.

What makes this property unique

Lake rights to a private lake community for fishinig, swimming and row boating for our guests is a plus. Come back to the Cabin and feel the trees wrap themselves around you and put you a step back in time. Sit on the back screened in porch and relax in the peaceful quiet of the day with your favorite beverage. Evening brings fun around the chimnea toasting marshmallows and enjoying family fun.
