About this property
The Homestead, at Nine Pines Farm - Hot Tub and Walking Trails
Whether it's the rich early-American history, or the scenic beauty of the Appalachian foothills, The Homestead is the best place to start your adventure into the Hocking Hills! While the 23 acre farm itself dates back to the late Civil War Era, The Homestead is an updated farmhouse, at the front of the property, that still holds quirky and charming reminders of its approximately 150+ years on the farm. The Homestead also sits alongside the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail, the route Confederate Brigadier General Morgan took during his raid on Southern OH.
With it's rolling pastures, petite orchard and grapevines, and the staple white picket fence, it's too easy to get lost in a daydream on the screened-in back porch. The fenced in area is a great place for your family pet to run, and the shared trails and seasonal pond are a great place to kill time. In the evenings, you can unwind by the fire ring out back, or relax in the hot tub on the patio.
The Homestead is also centrally located to everything the Hocking Hills region has to offer! Ash Cave/Hocking Hills State Park - 24 min (17mi) Nelsonville - 10 min (6.5mi) Lake Hope State Park and Dining Lodge - 10 min (7.2mi) Uncle Buck's Riding Stable and Dance Barn - 20 min (12.4mi) Historic Moonville Tunnel - 19 min (10.7mi) Athens (Home of Ohio University) - 26 min (16mi)

Excellent Communication with host, we had an excellent stay with no issues, it reminded us of staying with our late Grandma. The house is quirky, but that’s what made it so unique. It was a very nice getaway. Thank you!
We spent Thanksgiving at the Homestead with our family and dogs, and it was a cozy, secluded space to cook, unwind, relax in the hot tub, and walk in the woods. Hosts were very responsive and kind, and went out of their way to mail my daughter's belongings she left behind back to us.
Our Host Nick was fabulous. He was easy to get a hold of if needed. The great room / dining room was fabulous for gathering and playing games. The kitchen was roomy abd no complaints on the beds. Very comfortable. Thank you
We really enjoyed the sleeping arrangements, cozy living room we could all sit together and have fun. My adult kids enjoyed the hot tub and we all enjoyed the fire pit. would recommend for a large family get away!
We enjoyed our stay very much at The Homestead. There was plenty of room for my family. The hot tub, screened in porch, and fire pit with the fenced in back yard were the highlight of our stay. We liked the privacy and quietness of the home and walking trails as well. We would definitely stay her again.
This old farmhouse brought out nostalgia and sweet memories of our great-grandparents. Loads of character in the quirky layout. The view was lovely, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen is spacious enough for two to prep and clean up meals with room to spare, a real treat in a rental. We had one reason to contact the host and he responded immediately. Definitely recommend.
