We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The host was amazing. Very helpful in showing us all the amenities and nearby places. The house was perfect for our group of ladies. We plan to visit again!
10 out of 10! This house and the host Frank are nothing short of amazing. It's safe, clean, well stocked, comfortable, beautiful property and views....I could go on and on. I will definitely come back and bring family and plan another girls getaway. Frank has thought of everything and is an incredible host with the best house/property I have ever stayed at! I hear spring is even more beautiful with the flowers in bloom. I cant wait to come back!
Beautiful wood, very clean, so much space. Teens had a lot of fun in the basement. We loved the setting, beautiful views, very friendly host. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and feeding the horses. Would definitely stay here again!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! Frank personally welcomed us to his quaint home and provided an informative tour of things we needed to know. Every detail was thoughtfully considered—from the comfortable beds and high-quality linens and spa robes to the fully equipped kitchen and cozy living spaces. Perfect for our group of 7 adults. The location was ideal, offering both convenience and a peaceful atmosphere. We especially loved enjoying the beautiful mountain views from the porch and the relaxing hot tub while also enjoying the outdoor fireplace at the same time. We also enjoyed feeding the donkeys and horses on the hobby farm. The host was exceptional—friendly, responsive, and genuinely committed to making sure we had a great experience. Communication was smooth and helpful throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our family birthdays, and would definitely return in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free, and memorable mountain getaway!
A work retreat for my Office Managers and they had a wonderful time. We had planned a day in Asheville, but everyone loved house so much, we just spent the day relaxing and having fun together there.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Communnication prior to arrival and during was easy. Frank met me when I arrived and personally walked me through everything, which made me feel very welcome right away. When I mentioned how much I loved the wood floors, he shared the history behind many of the handmade furniture pieces in the home. It really made me appreciate the care and loving touches that went into creating such a special vacation rental. The size of the house ended up being perfect once the rest of my group arrived—five adults and two children. There were plenty of amenities both inside and outside, and everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The location was beautiful, quiet, and very private, which made it easy to relax and unwind. One of the highlights for both the adults and kids was being able to feed the donkeys and horses.I truly enjoyed my stay and hope to come back again, especially during peak fall colors. Highly recommend!
We had a great stay here over the weekend. The cabin was spacious with lots of amenities, the host was very friendly, and the kids loved being able to feed the farm animals.
We stayed at this lovely property for a family get together with our three adult daughters and their partners, Photos don’t do it credit - it appeared much larger and equipped than expected. Owner met us on arrival to provide detailed info on property and surrounding area which was really welcoming. Easy access to airport, Biltmore and many surrounding towns and trails. If you stay on site you can enjoy the hot tub, fire pit and friendly animals- who love carrots! Definitely would recommend a stay here.
Our House was a wonderful place for a girls weekend getaway. It had everything we needed, including horses, donkeys, and a goat that we enjoyed feeding carrots to :) Frank was very accommodating and informative about the area as well as a great host, and would definitely recommend.
Our family of five enjoyed this home and wish we could ’ve extended our stay. The house had everything we needed from basic amenities to entertainment! We’ll definitely be back!
Group of 7 stayed here for a golf week. Perfect proximity to some of the best golf in the area. Great amount of room for everyone. Host was very communicative and responsive to any of our questions. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved the location, beautiful propriety with great views. We will definitely consider staying there again in the future. Fred was a great host.
Thank you, we enjoyed our visit!
Our group loved this house! The hot tub, waterfall on the hillside, and the views were amazing. Farm fresh eggs were a nice touch and the beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!
We had an amazing time at this property - very idyllic and Frank was a great host. My kids especially loved feeding the animals. Fairview is a nice area with lots of hidden treasures - would 100% revisit and stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Owner/Manager
After retiring from a 33 year career in sales management/ marketing, we visited our oldest daughter Etta and fell in love with Asheville. We moved to the Asheville Area in 2002 and lived in the house that became our first rental, “Our House.” (We built a cabin on the property and moved into it). Soon to follow, came our youngest daughter, Farris, and her now husband Danny. In 2009 their daughter Alyssa arrived and in 2015 Haley was born, making this a true family business.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Asheville and all it has to offer. We then decided to share the beauty of the Asheville Area and the hospitality of the Smokey Mountains with others. “Our House” and “My Roundette” were on the property when we originally bought it. Both have since been remodeled. We then purchased additional land and built “My Place,” “The Huntley,” “The Garden Cabin,” and “Hideout.”
What makes this property unique
The Cove at Fairview is a family business that offers high quality rental homes. We utilize reclaimed wood in our houses as well as offering luxurious amenities. Our homes are truly have rustic mountain elegance. All of the homes have private places to gather, such as porches and decks. Our larger homes feature indoor/ outdoor fireplaces. While being very private and close to nature, you are still afforded all of the conveniences of technology such as high-speed internet. Kick back, relax, and have a true retreat or a wonderful place to land after an exhausting day of fun (downtown is only 15 minutes away). Downtown Asheville has many restaurants and shops, as well as many as well many outdoor activities nearby including hiking. There are breweries and several restaurants in our town of Fairview. There is something nearby for everyone!
