Chalet with Year around Lake & Mountain Views in Big Canoe

THIS AREA OF GEORGIA WAS NOT IMPACTED BY THE HURRICANE. Everything in the area is open as normal. Nice and quiet, with miles of hiking trails. This chalet has GREAT views of Lake Petit and the Mountains. It is about as romantic and you can get! Wake up in the morning to the sun rising over Lake Petit. Completely renovated chalet. New everything and very nice. It is a one bedroom with one bath. The bedroom has a king bed and the couch in the living room is a sleeper that opens up to a queen bed (great for a child)! Bathroom has a new walk in shower. The kitchen is fully furnished as is the chalet. Just bring the food and wine and your set. The living room has a 54 inch Smart TV which is hooked up to a streaming device if you have Netflix or something like that. There is a 32 inch TV in the bedroom. This chalet is perfect for a couple wanting a relaxing getaway. The deck has a table that seats four and overlooks Lake Petit and the mountains.

This cabin sleeps two adults and one or two children, depending on age.

What's great is that you'll only be minutes away from fine dining and resort style amenities to compliment your mountain getaway. Take a look at the pictures and watch the new video we posted!

Big Canoe is a premier mountain community, conveniently located just one hour north of Atlanta, Georgia and metro area airports. Located in a gated, RESORT like setting that includes 8,000+ acres of pristine woodlands, meadows, lakes and streams, and resort style amenities. Big Canoe charges to use some of the amenities. We have an information packet in the chalet guest book.

Big canoe has tons of amenities! We have indoor and outdoor tennis Courts. The marina offers pontoon, kayak, paddle board rentals. The lake is stocked with trout. Big Canoe offers championship golf courses, eight outdoor and two indoor tennis courts, a world class fitness center with an indoor swimming pool, a stocked fishing lake with rental pontoon and fishing boats, and twenty plus miles for hiking trails. Big canoe has a jeep trail and is a wild life conservation area. Deer, turkey and other wild life meander around the property. The amenities can all be utilized by guests. GUEST rates apply.

Big Canoe allows guests to use the amenities. There are fees associated with using the amenities. We provide a list of the rates in side the information book in the cabin.

This cabin has a laundry room down stairs.

Please Note: The Clubhouse Restaurant will be closed From September 2, 2024 until Memorial Day 2025 for renovations. There are several restaurants outside the north gate that will remain open. The golf course is staying open.

Sorry, but we do NOT allow PETS or SMOKING in this cabin.

No Motorcycles/ATV's/RV's are allowed on the roads inside Big Canoe.

Easy romantic getaway.

Great place for my husband and I to squeeze in a weekend away for our anniversary. Easy booking, check in and we had everything we needed to relax for the weekend. Beautiful deck with lake view, nice clean updated bathroom and a short drive to the swim club! Would stay again.

Our property was at the perfect location overlooking the lake and the mountains across the lake. The chalet was beautiful and well furnished. Very comfortable and very quiet. A great place to relax away from the city. Will be one of our favorite places to come back to.

Cute property in an amazing neighborhood

It felt as if we were staying in a treehouse with a magnificent view. Big Canoe is an amazing community with trails, lakes, tennis and golf and a phenomenal recreation center. The house is small but very comfortable for my husband and I. Highly recommended.

So relaxing!!!

This property was amazing! It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our short getaway. Our goal was to unplug and relax and that is exactly what we did! It is so quiet and felt like we were all alone in the trees.

Beautiful views in lovely treetop cabin

My husband and I loved staying in this cabin. It was very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the lake. The cabin was furnished very nicely. The owner answered my questions right away. We hope to return one day for a relaxing vacation. I highly recommend this cabin.

No GA getaway

This was the perfect getaway from COVID19. We have stayed in many VRBO's in the US and Europe and would rate Mountain Dreams among the top experiences. Well equipped unit just right for a couple. Carl was most accomodating and responded immediately to our needs. Thanks for a great week!

Worth every penny spent

Pleasant, relaxing and everything was as stated in the ad. We met the owner who was cordial. The view was speculative. I could literally live at this place. It was clean and well maintained. The bedroom was located in the perfect spot and the bed was well made, with nice side tables. An abundance of lights. Just an overall restful place. Great for couples get away.

Fantastic location

Our Treetop cabin was quaint, clean and quiet. A wonderful break from the fast track life we left behind for a week. If you're a late sleeper, make it a point at least one time to watch the sunrise as it peaks over the mountains. Worth the early rise. The homeowner lives in the community and was available when we had questions and even stopped by to check to see if we needed anything. (Note: the upscale restaurants in the immediate area required reservations and they fill up quickly. Suggest you make reservations long before your visit. We found a great little Mexican restaurant nearby and ate there thee times during our week's stay.)

Almost a nightmare

The property was not conducive to older folks or little ones, if you had a small child. The steps down to the cabin were quite steep and no hand railings!!! The closet was almost non existent and the bathroom sink/cabinet was not convenient for make-up and toiletries. There was no space for suitcases. It was clean. The landlord was quite good when we were booking the event. The Big Canoe security was awful. They made a terrible mistake when we checked in and were not going to let us get into the cabin even though we had all our paperwork showing our complete stay. We were talked to in a most unprofessional way by possibly a supervisor who didn't know the complete story. The roads were not well marked and was quite hard to find our way around.

A Tiny Slice of Mountain Paradise! ~ Ultra Clean! Very Comfortable! Amazing Owners! Beautiful View!

This little place is just heavenly! We stayed for 11 days and loved every minute of it! The owners are just wonderful people and truly care about their guests! The treetopper chalet is super clean, welcoming, and everything seemed new!! A very comfortable place to relax and get away. The bedroom is roomy, with a gorgeous view and comfortable bed. The stylish kitchen is tiny, yet fully functional and met our needs just fine. (fyi ~ there is not a dishwasher) We LOVED the deck, and when we weren't hiking, most of our time was spent out there enjoying the peacefulness and the beautiful view! Big Canoe has wonderful hiking trails of varying distances and varying difficulties. We started on easy trails, and worked our way up to harder ones. It is so beautiful, we just love the area! We enjoyed seeing a lot of deer on our hikes! The club house has a wonderful Sunday brunch you won't want to miss, as well as other places to eat. Just right outside of Big Canoe in Jasper, there is a farm to table restaurant we loved, a Farmer's Market on Saturdays which is fun to go to, and this may seem like a crazy thing to say, but there is also a little IGA grocery store that has just about anything you would ever want. We eat 98% organic, and I can't beleive how that little store has everything we need, plus we can get the organic meat from the Farmer's Market. I bring up the store because we brought a lot of our own food up with us, and next time, we wont have to do that! This is a perfect spot to get away from the busyness of life, enjoy your loved one, stay in comfort, and enjoy nature! We can't wait to go back!!
