This is an excellent upscale vacation rental. The view is outstanding. The amenities are well thought out and the fixtures are all top notch. You get what you pay for!

The Perch is beautiful home, thoughtfully appointed with high quality furniture, appliances, and kitchen gadgets. Kids loved the table tennis, adults loved the spacious kitchen and living and dining areas. Easy access to downtown AND the ski hill. Thanks Claudia and Les!

Amazing summer get away

The house itself is absolutely stunning - top end finishing details and decorating and the view down the valley is jaw-dropping. Lots of room for our family to make ourselves at home - highly recommend for a mountain get away.

Great stay at the Perch

We had a wonderful stay at the Perch! Beautiful views of the mountains, and clean and well designed inside. Our host was very organized and communicated efficiently. We loved the gas fireplace and cozy setting. Fernie is a lovely place - "a small town with a big heart", as one local put it. Highly recommended both the town and the Perch.

Weekend stay with family and friends for hockey tournament. Spacious and well appointed accommodation. Comfortable beds. Beautiful view of the ski hill in the distance. Children loved the ping pong table.

Why they chose this property

This property has been in our family for over 20 years. In 2018, we chose to build a home for our family to gather; with ample space for the whole family when we need it and the ability to welcome visitors to the Elk Valley.

What makes this property unique

We often hear that we have the best views in the valley. Our location is ideal, being very close to town and all that it offers yet just minutes from the ski resort. It got its name because it's perched on a hill facing South down the valley. The view of the valley and ski resort is truly stunning.
