Located at Lake Naomi in Pocono Pines, PA, one of the highest rated private lake areas in the country, our home provides you with tons of indoor and outdoor activity options. With one of the most incredibly beautiful lakes, beaches, pool, indoor activities and easy access to dozens of area attractions, The Strand will be a great central location for groups of all ages - please note we are NOT a party house and the primary renter must be at least 25 years of age. PLEASE NOTE: a temporary membership is required for use of club amenities.

This immaculate, newly constructed 3BR+/3BA (with a private den and guest room) home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac across from a pond in Lake Naomi. A short walk takes you to two beaches and main outdoor pool. Everything in our home is ready for your use.

Enjoy a spacious open layout and all the comforts of home. The Great Room boasts 25-ft ceilings, a fireplace gorgeous forest views and a 10 foot projected tv/sports/movie screen. The modern kitchen is a gathering place for family and friends, fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and island seating for 5. Additional seating for 6 in the adjacent dining room. Our spice cabinet and starter foods will get you set for cooking when you walk in the door.

French Doors lead to a warm and inviting Family Room with Flat Screen TV, VCR/DVD combo, video games, and sectional with Double Sleeper Bed for additional sleeping room.

All 3 bedrooms are very large and feature top-of-the-line mattresses and stylish furnishings. There is also a private den and sunroom. The loft is a favorite spot for kids, with air hockey table, craft table, toys, books and flying airplanes down to the couches below.

Our amenities center includes all the items you might forget including toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, soap and shampoo, razors and shaving cream, over the counter medications and assorted first aid items.

Renters have full access to all of the 5-Star Club’s amenities for an additional fee.

Perfect holiday getaway

I can’t say enough about this house and the owners. This was the perfect getaway for my family and friends over the Christmas break. Seth was amazing to work with, incredibly responsive and very willing to help with anything we needed. Would definitely rent again!

We had an amazing stay! The house was perfect for our large family holiday and incredibly well-appointed. We made good use of all of the games and there were plenty of spots for everyone to have their own space to play, read, watch movies and bake! Perfect house for family and friends

we used to own in Timber Trails. This was a perfect house for a family of 5 with a couple of friends. The owner was accessible at all times. It has a huge family room and is very clean. they had rooms for kids to hang in and the most board games I've ever seen collected.

Easter Getaway

We had the best time staying at this beautiful property. The kids (ages 6,10,12) loved the swings, bikes, scooters, and the hot tub out back. Plenty of games and we loved the projector for movie night. Seth was always quick to respond and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay away from home. We got day passes to Kalahari water park which was only a 10 min drive. Overall, we had a blast!!

Great mountain house! Great location few houses away from the other half of my family.

Can’t say enough about this place. I had my kids and grandkids all together for the weekend and it was just a perfect. The house had everything you needed from toys and games to linens to well stocked kitchen ( pots and pans and utensils not food of course). The projection TV was great for watching movies at night. We would definitely recommend and will be back. Great communication with the owner, fast response.

Wonderful Stay

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Strand house - it was impeccably clean, well-organized, and had everything that we could have possibly needed. The house is spacious and beautiful, and great for families - our kids (1 and 3) loved the play area in the loft with toys and books, and had plenty of space to play and run around on the main floor. The house is located at the end of a quiet street, so we were able to play outside without worrying about traffic. We appreciated that linens and towels were provided. The host (Seth) was very helpful and responsive, which made our already pleasant stay even better. Thank you - we hope to return soon!

A Week at the Lake

The home was exactly as expected. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked...we found everything that we needed. The hot tub was enjoyed by all of us. My granddaughter loved all the arts and crafts supplies that she found. Last, but not least, was the projector TV. We all loved the size of it and the fact that you could watch from the kitchen and dining room as well as the living room area. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Beautiful mountain house!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful mountain house! What a gorgeous home. The living room was stunning with a central fireplace and huge picture windows facing the trees. Our child loved the play area and toys found in corners around the house. Everything was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the back porch, although we didn’t have a chance to create a campfire. All in all, it was a lovely place and extremely comfortable. The hosts were also quick to respond to any questions.

The house was beautiful, clean and spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything clearly labeled. Our kids loved the toys and games that were available as well as the den. The projector is a really cool feature too and made for a great family movie night. The location is ideally located near 3 ski mountains and in a quiet neighborhood. Seth couldn’t have been more accommodating and responsive. There were so many thoughtful details that made our stay even better. We would definitely stay here again!

Ideal for a family getaway

Beautiful high ceilings with an open floor plan and plenty of entertainment made this home the perfect place for our family. From the air hockey to the plethora of games and toys available, the kids stayed busy. As mentioned in other reviews, the projector was a nice touch considered we were all able to watch a movie together comfortably in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals for a large group. In addition, we were impressed with the toiletries available. Seth was also very attentive. We lost service on the way over and he quickly text the code to enter the property. Would definitely stay again.

Lake Naomi / Pocono Pines for the Win @ Strand Lake House

This was our 2nd time visiting The Strand Lake House, this time for 11 nights. We really enjoyed our stay this year, just 2 of us for a week and then the family joined for Kalahari and Mini-golf fun. This home is really well cleaned and organized - we have not seen dust anywhere. The Owners are amazing with great communication. We haven't had to contact them with a problem because we haven't had any, they make sure everything runs smoothly. If you've used VRBO before you know there are the little things that impact your stay - like having to supply all the hand soaps, garbage bags, toilet paper, etc. This home has those, plus towels and bedsheets and has a nook where you can grab things you've forgotten like a toothbrush. We travel with our 2 dogs and the rear yard is fenced which is a huge benefit for us. Some mornings the deer are all around the fence quietly foraging, it's quite nice!The Lake Naomi area is now our favorite and this home is in a great area.

Excellent family house

I highly recommend this house and the host, Seth Melnick. We were on a family vacation with adult daughters and 3year old twin grandsons. The house has everything that you could ask for. There are tons of toys and books for the kids, as well as bikes and boats that the host lets guests use. The house is well laid out for a few families and is quite clean. The host has provided every amenity you could think of (ok, more Tupperware and dish towels would be good). He even left us a welcome gift of pasta, pancake mix, and pasta sauce to get us started. There are lots of beach areas to visit in Lake Naomi. We liked pebble Beach, where Seth keeps his boats and loved the Timber Trails beach w a playground. We did a temporary membership in the lake Naomi club. I’m not sure whether that is worth the money because a lot of the activiities are by online reservation and I found their system to be a bit of a pain. I did swim laps in the Lake Naomi pool every day. The kids took swim lessons at the community center but sign up for that was no small feat. In sum, we loved the house and the choices of beaches, hiking, boating and oool areas.

The Strand is a Great Destination

My family and I had the most delightful two week stay. The host/owners, Seth & Lauzanne, really created a home setting that is both welcoming and so convenient. Great location, the roads didn't have much traffic and the house itself is on a 'no outlet' road so even less traffic. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We cooked dinner many of the nights and the kitchen was really well stocked for it. The house is well appointed as well and setup with paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap to get you started. We took our 2 pups and were prepared with tie-outs for the yard. We didn't need them, the backyard was fenced off which made it incredibly easy to monitor and clean-up. One thing I noticed is whomever is cleaning the home is amazing, literally there wasn't dust anywhere - it was the lack of dust that drew our attention. Linens and bath towels were all provided. Bring a pool/beach towel for the hot tub - you'll want to enjoy that it was a really nice way to wind down in the evening. Lastly, the upstairs loft is a children's area. We had a 6 year old and a 1 year old, they loved that area and the toys & books there. We visit the Poconos each April and we'd definitely consider staying at the Strand Lake House again!

Very nice house.

We all had a great time renting this house with a cabin feeling, all the kids had a great time playing games and toys for the 6 and 2 year olds... They liked the bikes in the garage to ride.. Thanks for a Wonderful time!

Great Family Getaway!

We spent a long weekend at Strand Lake House in May. We're a family of five (three kids 10, 8 & 6) and setting was perfect for a quiet break. It was possibly the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in and the hosts were attentive and available by text if any problems had arisen (zero issues from start to finish). The games consoles, board games, projector and outside play area were all big hits with our kids and we'd happily go back. Highly recommend a stay here. The photos, though great, don't do the house justice.

This was our first time in the Poconos and renting from VRBO. Our family had a great time and the house had everything we needed. Enough space for 5 adults, 2 teens and a 5 month old. Would definitely rent again. Seth was great to communicate with and quick to answer all my questions.

Stayed three nights, check-in and check-out very easy. GREAT communication from property owner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Stayed with our 2 adult sons, Daighter-in-law, twin granddaughters (15 months) and my husband. No issues, no problems! The wine that was left was the name of one of our granddaughters!! Plenty of condiments, cooking utensils and great cookware/bakeware. Beds were very comfortable! Two rooms were big enough to accommodate 2 pack n plays for the babies! We put the pack n plays in the bedroom with 2 twin beds and there was still plenty of room for 2 people to sleep in those beds if necessary! Would rent again.

We had a wonderful stay at the house! This house has anything and everything you could need or want. It is beautiful, spacious and so clean! Our kids LOVED the toys in the loft, the projector in the great room and the comfy couch in the den! We had a great time in the hot tub and playing tons of board games. We went snow tubing at Camel Back, which was a short drive away! Also close to great restaurants. Host is super available via text for questions or problems (we had zero, but nice to know he was there!) also LOVED that sheets and towels were included but there are also many extras to make you feel at home and plenty of extra toiletries in case you forgot something. We had a great time and hope to come back! Thanks so much!!

Exceptional property

I literally cannot say enough about this property - it is one of the best we have ever stayed at. It is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. The check in process was a breeze. We were greeted with treats from the owners. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. There are travel size toiletries if you forget anything, a charging station, Alexa, etc. A very cool thing is a projector that you can use to play movies on the wall - like being at the theater. The owner was very accessible and pleasant to deal with. The hot tub on the deck was a huge bonus. We would absolutely stay at this property again.

Perfect Poconos getaway!

Seth was an amazing host! He was so responsive and the house was great! The pictures don’t do it justice. It was huge, clean, and had everything we needed for a friends weekend! Ladies "getaway"

The house was amazing. We couldn't have expected anything more. The space, the layout, location was great! Items included everything from all linens, even some beach towels for the hot tub, all the way down to everything you could possibly need in the kitchen!! The adorable starter meal (pasta) set out on a tray on the counter was such a welcoming feature, though we ended up not using but was a nice thought to have if we needed. Seasonings, condiments, dishes....everything! I couldn't have been more pleased! Everyone was happy and enjoyed everything and the time spent just kicking back and relaxing whether it be in the amazing hot tub, by the fire pit, on the front porch or just relaxing by the fireplace with some good company all around. Seth was very attentive if and when we needed anything via text. I wouldn't hesitate to return for another trip whether it be with our friends or family! Hopefully sooner than later! Thank you for everything!
