Boasting over 3,200 square feet of living space and sleeping accommodations for 12, this home is the perfect lake house for families looking to get away from the stress of every day life and reconnect with nature and each other. The home sits on 135+ private acres and offers beautiful views of Bolt Lake. Spend your days swimming or fishing off the private dock, explore the lake by kayak or paddle board, and roam the beautiful property via miles of groomed trails.

Natural light pours over the open great room through a towering wall of windows that overlooks a wraparound porch and the serene Bolt Lake. A stunning wood-burning fireplace surrounded by magnificent stonework is the highlight of this already beautiful space. Adjacent to the living area lies the dining area, where you can bring the whole family together around a charming wood table for a gourmet meal. The first floor also hosts an expansive family room with a large sectional sofa and an 85” flat screen TV. The family room also has a ping pong table for competitive family fun!

Prepare tonight’s menu options in the fully equipped kitchen, which comes complete with everything you’ll need to cook all your favorites. A charming breakfast bar allows you to keep the chef company while they work their magic in the kitchen.
Spend some time in the third floor loft, accessed by ladder and primed for entertaining afternoons at home. The space is brightly lit with natural light flooding through large windows and includes a top of the line Fooseball table with additional toys, games and puzzles to keep the youngest (and often oldest) members of the family entertained.
The second floor seating area features a flat screen with Internet TV so you will never miss an important game or favorite show. The DVD player and selection of family friendly DVDs offers a great option for rainy days.

The second floor also hosts 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom with double sinks and a bath/shower combo. The home is ready to accommodate the youngest of guests with an available pack-n-play for sleeping and a high chair for dining. The primary bedroom is conveniently located on the first floor and offers a beautiful en suite bathroom with double sinks and a custom walk-in shower. 2 additional bedrooms, each with double beds, are conveniently located on the first floor off of the family room.

Bask in the serenity of the surrounding woods and lake views as you step out to your own outdoor oasis. The screened in porch with seating for 8 is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a guaranteed bug free dinner. Grab a good book and lounge on the wrap around porch. A short trail brings you down to the private dock where you can enjoy unrestricted access to the water during your stay. Your stay includes access to 3 kayaks, 2 stand up paddleboards, a paddleboat and a canoe. The property also boasts miles of groomed trails offering scenic nature walks all year round. For additional activities, follow one of the paths to the custom archery and 120-yard gun range. After a full day enjoying the property, a fire pit at the waters edge is the perfect spot for toasting the day and roasting marshmallows.

THE LOCATION
With a 135+ private acres and beautiful Bolt Lake as your backyard, you may never want to step foot off the property! Bolt Lake is part of the Gang of Lakes, which allows you to explore 4 additional lakes via connecting channels. The lakes are great fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill, sunfish, catfish and pike. The property is also bordered by Rice Creek and has additional frontage on Gordan Lake and another small pond.
The property is just North of the city of Albion (home to Albion College) and is a quick 15 minute drive from the cute town of Marshall or the city of Jackson. It is also less than an hour drive from both East Lansing and Ann Arbor, making it a great option for college football weekends.
A fast 20 drive will take you to Firekeeper’s Casino in Battlecreek where you can enjoy over 2,900 slot machines, 70 table games and a 14-table non-smoking poker room in addition to numerous tasty dining options.


The area also offers the opportunity for golf, wine tasting, u-pick farm, short drive to Duck Lake and countless other activities.
