This property was absolutely perfect! It was exactly as listed. Property manager and maintenance were extremely fast to respond. I would highly recommend!
The house is as pictured and is stocked with plenty of essentials. We loved the privacy and not having to worry about being around people because of COVID. The kids really enjoyed the pool. We did have to clean out the pool everyday because of the bugs/tree debris but it wasn’t an issue for us -we were literally in the middle of the woods so it was to be expected; there was a cleaning net available for the pool. The pond is nice but the paddle boats were very dirty and could not be used. We loved being able to enjoy bonfires every evening. It would have been nice if all the bedrooms upstairs had televisions. There were only 2 TVs- one in the living room and one in the master bedroom.
Ralph was extremely helpful, nice, and offered a few suggestions of activities outside of the house. We ventured to the zoo after his recommendation and loved it.
We had a great time and look forward to coming here again.
Our family had a great vacation at this secluded oasis in Enola, Pennsylvania! The house was clean and fully stocked and there was a huge above ground pool, playground, and large yard (acres!) to keep the kids entertained.
The deck has been upgraded from the pictures. It is slippery when wet - we had to remind the littles to walk (not run) on the deck.
The house is conveniently located near Interstate 81 so travel to HIA, Hershey, Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, etc. is easy.
Cindy and Ralph were easy to work with.
I really didn't want to leave a review! ONLY because I'd like to keep this place as our little secret. lol. First I'd like to thank the owner and staff for a great experience! (We'll be back)
I understand changes occur but some people won't so here's the changes I noticed.
Decoration & Wall mounts : Fox missing (fine by me) Deer heads mounted (Freaked out mother-in-law, but IDGAS).
Fire pit benches -gone (Great) Now has several Large plastic lawn chairs. (Had a leaf or two but easy to clean, and comfy)
Pond- Not clear to walk up to edge (Sucks, but I wasn't prepaired to fish anyway so not a big deal. Plus side: Over growth should help increase fish stock)
Kitchen TV didn't work (Probably on their upgrade list as I'm leaving this review)
1st fl bedroom tv wasn't set up with input source & too old to connect firestick to it (I'm sure it's probably being upgraded too)
*Brand new TV purchased & delivered during stay was thoughtful!!! The kids were so happy to connect & play games. The timing was perfect because we had a couple rain days and the kids were entertained, Thanks again!
I can't think of anything that was missing or needed. They were on point, the house is fully stocked. We brought sheets, tablets, drinks, food and didn't need anything else!
Great staff & location!
We had a great time, and hope to be regulars.
Overall, we enjoyed our time and the property was pretty remote and had a pool, firepit and play structures for the kids. My kids loved it. The pool does need to be cleaned more often. There were TONS of bugs in the pool that even after requesting be cleaned, I had to go in the next day and spend over an hour cleaning them all out. Additionally, the house had a musty smell. In the future, that should be addressed by either airing the home out or addressing the underlying cause.

Photos do not reflect the current condition of the property. Strange older men come and wonder the property from early morning until evening. There are not trees like the photo shows, but instead a pole barn that seems to be the hangout. Men standing around watching, making it unsettling for us to relax and have privacy to sun bathe or let our children play. Even when they were told that we were uncomfortable after the second time they approached and honked the horn at us, they continued to hang around the property from early morning until evening. We felt rushed and left earlier than we had planned. The pool is not heated and no cover, meaning it’s filled with bugs and debris and ice cold. The home was not cleaned well, the grill was covered in cheese and meat and the propane tank was left on when we arrived. We thankfully brought all of our own sheets and towels since it’s still a risk of spreading Covid-19. At 4 grand for a week I would not recommend unless you like being intimated and feeling unsafe.

I appreciate your feedback and am sorry to hear of your recent experience at my property. This is the first time that I am hearing about all of this extensive negative feedback and wish that you would have called and/or requested to talk with me in order to remedy this situation rather than waiting to broadcast this bad review on VRBO.
The property maintenance person stopped over to clean the pool (as he normally does, once per week during each guest stay) and he told me that you mentioned to him about wanting more privacy. Please note, prior renters have never had a concern with him stopping by to clean the pool. He relayed your message to me and I called you at least two times with no avail and offered you a refund for any inconvenience in my voicemail. I never received a call back from you. It seems like you are more interested in hurting the reputation of my property on this site, than remedying any potential issues and receiving a refund. Please note, that outside of your review, I have 5 reviews from past renters all of which gave the property 5 stars and excellent reviews.
Your review is vastly inaccurate in saying that there are no trees on the property as the house sits on 50 private acres of wooded land and even has a large yard area with a lake. The pool was never advertised as heated and is cleaned once a week. There are trees around and when it rains or there is a large amount of wind, debris can naturally get in the pool. This is why the property maintenance staff stops by weekly to clean it. The home is also thoroughly cleaned prior to guests arriving and after guests depart. I will be sure to relay the feedback regarding the grill cleaning to the cleaning team and also will make sure that the propane tank is turned off going forward. Please note you review is the only bad review of this nature after 3 years of renting the property on VRBO.
I recently constructed a 90’ x 50’ pole barn that sits at the far end of the property (over 200 yards away from the house). Due to COVID-19 restrictions earlier this year, construction work was delayed, so during your stay those men you mentioned were laborers that were at the pole barn finishing work. I am not sure how the 2 workers would have negatively impacted your stay, but if you would have contacted me with your concern I would have paused their activities.
Again, I am sorry to learn about your experience at my property. I wish you would have contacted me directly to voice your concerns in hopes of remedying things prior to you writing such a poor review. We can only do better and provide an improved experience for future guests from feedback like yours!
We wanted somewhere far away from anywhere, with a pool. This house was fantastic. We spent a month, worked using the high speed internet and relaxed outside. We will be back.
Had a great time with my family at the Grove! Kids spent most of the time swimming in the pool and enjoyed the house itself during the brief periods of rain. Took us a few tries to figure out how the diverter works in the upstairs bathroom (hint - you have to pull down at the tip of the faucet!) but otherwise all good!
Property is expansive and beautiful. We saw deer grazing almost every day!!
Cindy and Ralph were both awesome to communicate with! Ralph went out of his way to come help when we accidentally locked ourselves out.
All in all, we had a great time and would love to come back in the future.
Our family of 7 had a great time at this property. The house was very clean, had everything that we could need and was tucked back in the woods at the end of a very long drive. Very private and peaceful. The kids loved having their own pool and having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was perfect for our family. Despite the listing, this property does offer linens. Each room has a tote of towels, washcloths, and bed linens. I actually very much appreciated it being done this way because I was confident that the linens were clean when I was able to make the beds myself. The location was perfect!!We spent a day at Chocolate World and Hershey Gardens. We visited the AACA Auto Museum and saw the world's largest stone railroad bridge. I would highly recommend going right down the street to Waterfront Bar & grill for a great deck view of the Susquehanna River. My only complaint would be that the paddle boats weren't available when we were there and my kids had really been looking forward to that. Other than that everything was perfect. Thanks so much for sharing this great property with us!
