This exquisite villa features a main house and a guest house, totaling 8,000 square feet of living space with five suites, including ocean-view master bedrooms and a bunk room for children. The Villa accommodates up to 16 standard or 18 people optionally. Each suite includes luxurious private bathrooms, individual air conditioning, walk-out balconies, black-out curtains, and closet space ensuring a comfortable stay for every guest.

Villa Sun Monkey not only provides an idyllic setting but also a range of exclusive house services. Our dedicated team offers grocery shopping, bar stocking, the option of a personal bartender or chef. Indoors, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, and a den/office with a flat-screen TV.

Sun Monkey's 1.75-acre professionally landscaped grounds create a private and serene atmosphere, complemented by local fruit trees, flowers, and animals such as parrots and iguanas. The villa is double-gated with on-site security, ensuring your safety and peace of mind throughout your stay.

For a truly indulgent experience, guests can inquire about Villa Daiquiri, the optional private beach home with 6 bedrooms located just three minutes away. Such a beautiful gem!

What an incredible property. The photos don’t do it justice—the property is even more beautiful and spacious in person! The owner Peter and the property manager Bret met us upon check-in, and showed us around the property to ensure we know where everything was. The Villa easily acommodates our party of 12 adults. We had everything we needed during the stay; filtered water, ice maker, fully equipped kitchen, coffee maker, towels and soaps. The location is perfect! So close to local stores and beach. When some hiccups occurred, Peter and Bret were quick to respond and resolve. Overall, Sun Monkey Villa has made our trip to Costa Rica such a memorable experience. We highly recommend this Villa to anyone looking for spacious and luxurious accommodation during their stay.

Entrepreneur extrordinare who wanted a piece of paradise to relax at. I have travelled all over the world, every island in Caribbean, and Mexico looking for the right combination of tropical living, affordability, things to do, safety, and a stable government. Costa Rica is the best. The people are very nice and not resentful of foreigners. There is not the poverty of other countries. There is such an eclectic mix of people from all over the world who come here to vacation, snowbird, or full time living, it is very exciting.

Why they chose this property

I looked at 50 Villas and as soon as I walked into Sun Monkey, I knew it to be home. Unless you have spent some time in this area, it is difficult to to explain the differences between SM and other homes in this price range. Location, location, location. Very close to beach, but away from hubub. Very short and easy drive from main road. Large 1.75 acres of lush private gardens. Private enough to host a nudist group! The extra pavilion structure is very special. It provides another gathering place, enabling a large group or family to spread out and not feel on top of one another. It regularly hosts morning exercise sessions, afternoon naps, 15 people doing yoga, and twilight evenings rocking & watching magnificent Sunsets, with a cold one.. We have had the pool redone and added sunshelves to linger on. A newly completed hydroponic greenhouse provides all natural herbs, vegetables, and fruits for your dining. A new hot tub spa is installed between pool and pavilion. Hidden Outdoor shower could have been built by Fred Flinstone and receives interesting reviews by guests!
And we have the best full time caretakers. Macho and Maria make your vacation effortless.

What makes this property unique

HUGE 60' pool. Spa/Hot Tub. Hydroponic Greenhouse. Outdoor Pavilion. Ocean view Casita (guest house) is close enough to main house (30 feet) where all feel part of group, but great place for young adults who need own space. Covered rancho with wet bar and grill. Multiple "spaces" for a large group to spread out to. Bunk room for kids, cousins, and friends. Never feeling crowded. Caretakers Macho & Maria are the best! Have lived here 10 years and can make things happen for you.
