Casa Las Sandalias is a beautiful beachfront home in Playa Potrero. It is directly on the beach - the only thing between the house and the ocean is the swimming pool, the lawn and the sandy beach! It is also just a 5 minute walk from all the town of Potrero has to offer. Carefully and lovingly renovated by local builders here in Potrero, this 3000 sq ft home has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and all of the comforts of home plus a western view to watch those amazing sunsets!

A brewery, French bakery, grocery store, several restaurants, the Costa Rica Sailing Center, tour centers, and Flamingo Marina are all within minutes walking. Located on a quiet, residential street, the house is filled with everything you need to enjoy your best Pura Vida life, including a whole house water filtration system, stainless steel LG appliances, LG washer and dryer (gas), oven/range (gas), wet bar upstairs with mini-fridge, huge custom in-ground pool, and a giant walk-in master closet upstairs.

Wonderful Home

We are a family of 6 with kids between 5 and 14 and we absolutely loved our stay at this house. The listing was very accurate and if you are thinking about booking this home you should. Sunset views are gorgeous and the ease of getting into vacation mode can’t be overstated at this property. The beach was amazing, the pool much bigger than any of the other ones we saw. You can take an easy walk to a few restaurants and some local shops, which was nice for us because we didn’t have a vehicle. Expect to pay vacation prices for food and most things in the area. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the necessities and certainly a bunch of nice to haves too. A ton of spices and seasonings were available. The provided beach towels and toys made it very convenient for us to enjoy the beach too. We did use the management company and they were very responsive, no issues at all there. And check-in and out were seamless. Just an FYI there was no shampoo or conditioner provided, not a big deal, just make sure you have your own, or buy $10 bottles at the local store. We are very glad we booked this home!

Great house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great experience. House is right on a quiet beach with nice sand. House itself is nice. Master bedroom is amazing. Management company was very responsive and great to work with.

Casa las Sandalias

Overall this was an amazing property. I would recommend it. There were a few minor things that could be done to raise the rating for us. The dishwasher does not work. The coffee pot for the maker was broken but there is a one cup Kurig that was fine for our group. The shower in the guest bedroom area upstairs has very little water pressure and the handle to turn it on and off was broken. The washer worked, however, throw the soap in the drum as it doesn’t pull from the dispenser on top. Keep an eye on the water heater as it seems to leak, however they were quick to come fix it. The TV in the master bedroom does not work, if that matters to you. They could use new boogie boards and umbrellas for the beach just to add to the experience. The sunrises on our walks down the beach were beautiful. The sunsets even more amazing. The area of Potrero was welcoming and a quiet area which was exactly what our group needed and wanted. Our host Tony was so helpful and took amazing care of our group. He was the epitome of Pura Vida. Potrero, Costa Rica you have our hearts.

Outstanding experience

Our family of six adults, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was great and well situated on the beach and near restaurants and a grocery store. Our contact from Krain, Tony, was super responsive and helpful in suggesting and arranging activities for our vacation. Could not recommend him any higher!
