The property itself is generally good, it has excellent views of Lerici, which is the top thing about this property.
However, the owner/manager needs to improve his customer service and communication skills.
Be aware, this property is a family home, all cupboards have personal belongings, clothes and bed linen in them. This limits the storage space you, as a guest, will have for your own items. We were not comfortable with this arrangement. However, worse was to be found in the fridge, food products that had been half consumed by previous occupant of the property! Not the type of welcome gift we were expecting. The owner when questioned about this said, he thought we would be grateful of this food. Additionally, the cleaner, wanted to access the property whilst we were there, to do laundry for the owner. Again, we were not comfortable with this and it felt like an invasion of our privacy.
The property has very high ceilings, which are the home to many spiders webs. Whilst, it is appreciated that due to the ceiling height cleaning would be difficult, this was unsightly and unappealing to us as guests.
We were requested to bring our own bed linen and personal towels. This was not clearly stated in the listing, it was mentioned in the listing in Italian! In fact the listing implies that towels and bed linen are provided, as it mentions, in English, that these are laundered at a high temperature. This is very misleading and if like ourselves you are travelling by airplane, bring these items uses up precious baggage allowance.
As mentioned by other reviewers the property is on a steep hill, and up a number of flights of steps, if you are fit and health like us, it won’t be a problem.
Overall, we enjoyed Lerici and Italy, but could have been better in many areas of the accommodation.
