The floor-to-ceiling windows provide forest views and let the refreshing Sierra sun shine in while the dramatic rock hearth with wood stove provides a true mountain feel. The super spacious kitchen and dining area is big enough for everyone to lend the chef a helping hand and are adjacent to expansive deck with gas BBQ. The master suite (king bed) is located on the main floor with 2 more bedrooms downstairs both with queen beds, and the bunk room corner or 4th bedroom (no door) includes 2 sets of bunks. The garage serves as the entertainment center with a ping pong table and dart board. For those looking to get a workout in during your stay, enjoy access to a new Peloton bike (for adult use only). Enjoy beautiful sunsets from the deck after a day at the lake. Stay cool with air conditioning (a rare find in Arnold) and warm with forced air heat and a cozy wood stove.

Nice house, well equipped

Nice house, well equipped. The best summer/winter house I have seen. Path can be a bit winding and tough to navigate in a snow storm.

Great location, nice main floor, but house was dirty

The living room, kitchen, and master suite were all very nice, but to be charged for Covid-related extra cleaning fees when there was visible dog and human hair, dust, and dirt all over the main floor were beyond off-putting. The couch was very dirty / dusty, and there were food and crumbs of sorts under the cushions. The kitchen sink never stopped leaking, and the plumber couldn't fix the issue. The dryer was broken on the first day, but a separate technician was called and fixed it mid-way through our second day. All of the carpet was beyond filthy, and that's well known, as the stains are old. The house feels like the family who owns it just rents it out as is when they're not vacation there, as there are so many family-type knick-knacks all over the place. A lot of work needs to go into cleaning the property up between renters, and our fees for cleaning need to be refunded because the cleaning that was done was far from acceptable. That we have not been reached out to is another strike for us, as this is the second time I have communicated all of the aforementioned.

A great place for a group.

The house had lots of space for gathering and is well suited to host a family get away. The master bedroom needs some attention as there were no coverings on the glass door (the picture is not accurate) and there was no privacy from the deck. There are also no TVs in any other rooms than the main living. Overall, it was a great house and I would stay here again. It could just use a little attention.

Perfect for Entertaining.

Stayed here with two other families (6 kids in total, ages 10 to 13) for a long weekend in early April. You have Big Trees within 10 minutes and Bear Valley only 40 minutes away. House features a large kitchen which flows into a massive family room, and outside a large deck. Ideal for cooking, eating, drinking, and entertaining. The kitchen was well-stocked with condiments, seasonings, and utensils, an aspect that you can rarely bank on, when renting. The only constructive feedback I'd have for the owners would be to kill the white carpeting, which flows throughout (including the master bath water closet....weird..) upgrade the vintage 80s showers, and consider a second bathroom downstairs. With sleeping accommodations for 8, you need more than one. Else a fun stay.
